Midstakes heads up hypers - back to the grind

Hey man,

I'm also playing turbo 7s and 15s on PS, and from what I saw so far, those min4bets are always KK or AA, maybe AK and QQ, so I just tend to fold to them. Especially from some TAG "regs".

I dont like calling with 22-77 either, but it does seem like the best way to play them. I sometimes c/r dry flops, or just call one cbet (if I have reads that villain gives up turns) when I miss.

Having said that, I do 3bet them sometimes (depending on villain and table dynamics), and fold to a 4bet.

Obviously once we get to 20bb or so, I just shove it in their face

3bet 66 is not my standart, I 3bet 99+ and sometimes 66-88.

And I also tought that small 4bet is super strong but then filtered all hands when I got 4bet small and people are 4betting even hands like 44, 55 or A5o, but in general I would say 4bet is AQ+.

I think I finally moved to 15s as my br is 500$ and if I dont experience 18BI downswing.
I noticed couple things that I was doing wrong, its just 15s and no need to think deeper than - what is my opponents range? and mostly its value range.

Here is my 15s graph with 3 unsucessfull 3bujin shots and 1 unsucessfull 5bi shot.

I was thinking about my br and decidet to change it a little - now I will play till 600$ + 5 bi for next level so I will start taking shots at 30s when I reach 750$.

I think I played this hand pretty good. There shouldnt be any A in his range so I decided to check/raise. Than he shoved and I think he know that I shouldnt have A in my range, so I called as I think its bluff mostly as it was ♠_cool:

So another week.
Again didnt play that much how I wanted.

But in general played very well, didnt make many big mistakes, I feel that my game is improving.
Made some bad 3bet shoves 30bb deep.

Was running bad. One day lost all in like ~10 times in a row Ax vs dominated Ax.
Yesterday played biggest calling station ever, his fold to flop cbet was 5% over 300 hands, and he bet all his tp+ pot size and all other pairs one bb, and I managed to play 10 matches vs him

So last update in this year.
Played some games in holydays and I keep running bad :/

Here is my graph sinc I moved to 15s

I am around 15bi under EV at 15s level.

Will set some goals for new year:
Play bigger volume
Mix in hypers at 7s
Learn to multitalbe
Move to 30s turbos and 15s hypers

Changed my plans, now just growing bankroll. Wont play hypers at 7s, will try them at 15s when br allows.
I think I should beat them, filtered my play at <25bb and

Current br 430$.
To go 320$ so it might take a while unless I will put a lot of volume.

Week started good.

Reduced gap between green line and ev line but still 10k chips under ev :/

Today tried multitabling at 3.5s.
Actually its not so hard as I though just need some practise.
Will play 5h multitabling 3.5s and then if I feel comfortable will start multitabling 15s.

I hope by the next weeks end i will have br to try hypers.

I reached 750$ bankroll, running good, caught my ev line.
But I will continue to play mainly 15s and mix in some 30s and few 15s hypers.
Cant switch to hypers as 50bi is not enought.

Cool graph, man, hope it just keeps going up. You can switch to the hypers with 50 BI if you're willing to move down, or back to the turbos if you lose some. Just set yourself a limit when to move down/back, stick to it and you'll be fine. 15$ hypers are really soft, though, so you might not have to, anyway.

I played somes 1.5 HU hyper when I tilted, and last week played about 400 hyper 3.5s and I think it can be really profitable, gonna after my exam, play 3.5 and 7 and see what happens

agree 15's hypers are REALLY SOFT

Reason why I decided to wait to switch to 15s hypers is that I asked at 2+2 about brm and get answer that even if I crush stake I can loose 50bi in couple days. Kinda scared me ♦

Ah, so it WAS you. I remembered seeing someone ask that on 2p2, but wasn't sure it was you. ♦

You can lose 50BIs in a day only if you are a tilt-monkey, or if you chase your loses and play till you bust. If you can stop yourself if you lose 10-20BIs, then go for it.

(I'd go for 20, you can grind it back up on the turbos with 30BIs left, but if you don't feel comfortable about it, just try it for 10 BIs).

And obviously, run hot at start and no need to move down

So I have now tryed 30s turbos and 15s hypers.
15s hypers seems to be soft altrough I have played only around 70 games.
About 30s turbos cant say much, I have played till now ~15 and almost all was vs fishes, dunno mby they are allmost the same as 15s.
Played one reg who was 2k up at 30s and I think he wasnt good so if this guy makes profit here so I also must.

But overall running good.
Yesterdays and todays mix of 15s turbos and hypers and 30s turbos and some 3.5 hypers which I tried multitable

I can say that now I am comfortable to 2table 15s turbos and hypers but wont multitable hypers unless I am sure I am beating them.

However need to work on my hypers game.
For example I have no clue how looks my openshoving calling range about 5-8 bb deep.
And trying to figure out what hands in what situations is good to gii otf.

That shallow I'd suggest SAGE ( one of the sites with an explanation ), but IMO you should tighten that up a bit, as very very few people shove as often as they should.

After playing some good ooponents at hypers, which are shoving loose, calling loose I understand that I need to work on my ranges.
So spend these days reading forums, watching vids, and playing with ICM calculations and only playing a little.
