why dont u use ECN? wayy better spread, and u dont trade vs broker. also,
mt4 is easy and user friendly but its kinda restricted. e.g. u cant put a buy stop/limit if the price is above/below.

short answer: spread is not only thing to worry about when chosing a broker
DD vs NDD vs STP vs ECN

as always, the short answer is: "it depends".
if u wanna get a longer answer, u need to book coaching :f_p:

For sure spread is not everything, but for sure you dont want to be on a platform that takes trades against u, winning only when u lose right?
I dont get wat u mean by "vs", but most mt4s that offer ndds are fake... Still market makers. ecn is the truest broker since they earn by takin comm off your trades
whether or not u win or lose. Stp at the end of the day still can set their own price if im nt wrong

Regarding the whole Girah situation. Obv it was scummy as hell for him to do what he did, but I don't agree with the whole 2+2 mentality of dragging all these pros name's through the mud (E.g. DogIsHead and Jungleman) with their only evidence being that they vouched for him. I've been following the story for a while and did believe Girah was legit, so why wouldn't DiH and Jungleman come to the same conclusion? I think until there is any evidence of them being involved they shouldn't be parraded around as guilty parties with all the amateur detectives of 2+2 trying to ruin their reputations.

Also, him doing all this and showing that he can lead people on to trust him for this long and then scam them fucks everyone else up. For example if I wanted a stake in the future it would be a LOT harder to get one, despite me being an established member of a community, since there seems to be a lot of people scamming despite being trusted members of the community and being vouched for by top pros.

Not to mention the whole shitstorm it throws up if you tell someone you're a poker pro.

Because they actually know the guy and you don't?

Unless you are sauce. You're not sauce are you?

But they only knew him over the internet, I watched his interviews and listened to him talk about poker theory and everything he says sounds perfectly legit, along with the graphs and HEM stats he looked compeltely legit.

did u read the whole story? rly doesnt look all that great for hasheeb and jungle. but yeah, i also dont like the online forum mentality (its not only 2+2) to judge when only knowing some facts.

they dont only know him. these three are very close. if macedo wasnt exceptional (like them, and they def are) why did they talk to him so much for such a long time?

hasheeb probably outsmarts all of us. maybe macedo was just a puppet and hasheeb wrote all the stuff and maybe it was him who convinced the poker world girah was "real".

that way they could play euro sites and make se moniez. would make sense ev wise ofc. ethics wise its bit more than questionable ofc :f_biggrin:

anyway, will be interesting to see how the whole thing turns out ...

btw: i dont think such a story has any impact on ppl outside the poker world.
also, for you personally i think its worse when mr cojonel from romania scams me here in the forums (although for not many $$$) than such a huge scam between highstakes pros. i dont stake ppl anymore i dont rly know well. cuz i cannot trust the pokerstrategy forums any more and also there was not enough pressure from ps side. and since its only about a few bucks, i dont give a fuck anymore. they even let his account post here on the forums etc. that is way worse for any member of this/the pokercommunity.

such a huge scam in high stakes community only concerns a very few ppl. a scam in lowstakes affects way more ppl (like u)

Yeah I do agree with you, it does look bad, but there is no reason to simply accuse Jungleman, sauce123 and Haseeb (Maybe Haseeb is one that can be seen as the most suspicious with all that stuff about the web address hosting and stuff). About why they talked to him for so long and didn't realise, maybe it's because Macedo is an exceptional poker player, his results aren't necessarily forged, as we've seen no evidence of his results not being real. I think he was just a fked up kid who got too greedy and decided to cheat to gain a few extra $$$. Idiot.

And about cojonel, yeah when I was reading through that whole ordeal I realised how bad something like that is for any potential stakees. But hopefully I won't be needing any stake And it's certainly made me more cautious about ever staking someone.

"é membro da equipe de treinadores de elite"

seems like u have to be a scammer in order to be part of the elite :f_biggrin:

so, do we have to be corrupt to be able to reach the elite level in the finance/business world?! fml, my initial plan to reach the elite by being a nice guy ... maybe i will have to change my plans tho _biggrin:

About this:

There are some members (unfortunately, in the Romanian Community) that have been proven to be scammers and multiaccounters, yet they still have (at least) one of the accounts and nothing was done to try and get the staker's investment back. At least here thazar constantly edits cojonel's posts asking for a stake until he sorts things out with you and Rio. The thing is, you can't blame PokerStrategy since they have stated in the staking rules that they will not be part of any investigation. On the other hand, I do think that if proof is brought to them of fraud (just like multiaccounting, TaF spam, advertising other affiliates, etc.) they should take measures. We are part of a community and if 99% of the members want the scammers to be punished, they should put that in the rules!

I for one fucking hate most scammers are Romanian, because most members will associate me with them, especially if they've just started seeing me around the forums...

all the more, i remember to appreciate our homegrown coaches who have been with us for a long time, whose poker journeys we have followed through the years (through their blogs and vids), from the time they were starting out, to the time they have learned to crush the games.

i think you guys rock! :f_love: here's to a bigger and better community!
let's show everyone what a real coach with real integrity is made of.

- from a humble community member, me :)

i thought for a long time (and still try to think) that truth, honesty, integrity and loyalty are values of highest relevance. however, it shocks me deeply to see that not many ppl share my thoughts. maybe one of my longer novel-style post later this year will deal with this subject ...

Shits hitting the fan here :f_eek:

I still think Jose did make all that money from playing poker, and the fact all the guys in that study group he scammed believed him for so long backs up the point DiH and Jman could have just made a big mistake in vouching for him as they had no idea what a scumbag he was.

At least I hope so anyway :f_biggrin:
