What's wrong with it ?♦
If you treat river raises as the nuts everytime, it is definitely +EV. That's one the micro traps. You see the spot as a perfect spot for bluff, so you make a hero call. But villain isn't ever even thinking about bluff there.
Slowly grinding back to €500. nl10 is annoying
Started playing 18 tables, maybe will try 24 when I reach €400.

I'm trying to herocall less and bluff less, but still can't resist in so many spots. Actually doing this I think I folded in some spots I should have called. I will show these hands.

It was against some 84 VPIP passive fish. Usually I'd shove myself, but against him it looks like he can't have anything to call with. c/f looks really weak, but they usually show up with the hand. Probably bad fold.

This was similar guy, 80VPIP. But this was extremely passive, AF 0.7. My plan was to check the turn and then bomb the river because that T hits his range pretty good. Probably betting is better, but I'm not used to play against these guys, really don't know. I decided just to c/f, looks really scary when this guy bets. Also it was very quick bet, I think he's not betting any 1pair hand here. They usually hit something in these family pots. I like this fold much better than previous one, but still not sure is this good or not.

Probably floating flop isn't good idea at this limit, but I just autocalled when he raised me. It was a huge shock to me when he folded the river. I can't believe he folded a set there. If he didn't, he was bluffing and my theory about multiple street bluffs is wrong
He was a huge nit, maybe it's possible he played AK that way ? I've seen people doing something like that, any thoughts ?

I got really lucky in this hand, but it was against very interesting player. I played some hands with him before and I had a feeling he's not nl10 player, but some midstakes player. He played in similar style most midstakes regs do and he's the only 1 I've seen there playing that way. His stats were 30/24/13. Anyways, I got really lucky here, I had 3% equity on the flop

I do multiple street bluffs and I play at that limit. Then again Im not a nit.
Tbh in every limit you will get the exception to the rule man.
Maybe he was the one. Or maybe he just felt you hit your AT or T9 ♠_biggrin:
You never know how one thinks.
Overall though from my personal experiences at NL10 you dont get people barreling more than a street as a bluff most of the times.

Your phrasing sounded like some kid who got beat up by the school bully and says to his friend in a frightened manner "that hurt, never messing with that guy again".
About the hand of the 3barrel bluff of the nit. From what I can tell it's really rare to see a guy in nl10 c/r a strong hand in that flop. I assume his range is quite unbalanced towards air.
Finally I'm back to the starting point. Had a pretty good run, I'm several buyins above EV, but who cares

Technically I'm still €20 down, but I bought first 2 stellar rewards. Also I achieved gold star.
I'm running 10.67bb/100 over 26k hands, I think this wr is possible with some more adjustments I made in the end. I kinda figured out their bluffing tendencies a little bit. My cool nl10 graph :

Now I will show u some hands where I caught them bluffing and made 1 sick bluff myself.

This was against some huge whale, standard IMO. I've run in something like 22 in similar spots, but this was super passive with high wtsd, so he's super polarized, most likely checks back any pair.

Villain was a reg. He even wasn't a nit, like 95% of regs are complete nits
I was giving up after my flop cbet on most turns, but when I saw that donk, I couldn't resist. Especially when I turned gutshot. Although he was thinking for ages before folded. Most likely had something like AQ. If u decide to make such a bluff, u always will have to shove the river. They will never fold on turn.
Going through nl10 was interesting, but I won't do it again most likely. I hope that my good run will continue @nl25 and I will get to nl50 pretty fast. Dropping back to nl10 again would be pretty sick and might end this challenge, so I hope it won't happen. I will start nl25 tomorrow or even maybe later today if I decide so. C ya !
Nl10 it's all about betting and not calling. Usually when u bet TP they will call u down by much worse. When they bet, 2p is pretty weak bluffcatcher
Of course with some exceptions, but that's the general idea. Also bluffcatching on the river against fish is very effective. They bet their missed draws like 99% of the time and they don't have any value hands there at all, they just check back all pairs and raise stronger hands earlier.
I'm again running pretty bad @nl25. Run in a couple of sick setups and lost some flips. 4 bi down now, need some better run. Lost like 6bi in last 200 hands ... I will post graph later, now I wanna play some more hands.
Played a lot today and up €20 ♠_cool: Just will post the graph. Too tired to do anything else.

I've pretty bad news. I lost many buyins again and looks like will be quitting this challenge soon. I have no idea how to win in this limit. Rake takes away all the profit, I've raked €1k so far. Maybe it's a bad run, don't know. Looks like I'm playing too loose, everyone is nitting, maybe it's the correct play because of rake. Also I'm the only idiot who stacks off preflop with KK. 12bb/100 rake is way too much. Can't understand how to get any profit with that. If I had supernova I could make some money from rakeback, but now with goldstar I get 20% max, maybe even less, dunno.
I will try to play something for some time, maybe will find something with less rake, like some sngs. No idea what to play with bankroll like this, I think nl25 is pretty bad choice, but that's maybe because I lose every pot I play
I still haven't seen anyone calling me down lite, but always when I bluff they call me with nuts. I guess it's pretty bad run. Also fish usually hit some random cards I bluff, they just always call my bets with random cards and hit something on the river.
I tried some fr cashgames with a hope to rake less, but nothing much changes there, only people play more tighter. I will test something else and update later. If it goes bad again, I'm quitting this and returning to much softer nl400 games.

wow that's pretty crazy. must be really frustrating
i've shot for nl25 4 times so far. i guess i have no hope of moving up out of nl10 ♦
Sorry for the run and what I'm about to say next ... but ...
Glad to see a midstakes winner struggling & writing all the same things I can relate to playing in these microgames.
I guess it rly is about moving up to where they respect your ... everything
OK, last thing I will try - I will play like a complete nit. I will open very tight range from all positions besides button and will call opens only with something like AQ+,88+,JTs+ :DDD Also I will bluff only by cbetting, I won't try any tricky bluffs and I will valuebet for pot when I have it.
The problem seems to be that you are trying to outplay your opponents.
At these micro stakes, your opponents will never consider what you might be holding. Quite often, they don't even consider what they are holding. Therefore representing hands is quite meaningless.
Your bluffing range, if you have one at all, should be less than 5%, and probably very much less. Bet for value. Fold when played back at. Bluff rarely.
You are not playing poker here, you are playing cards.
