[Closed] nl100/200HU-Showdownmonkey goes down

Yesterday i busted in the 42k on fulltilt with AQ<K7 for a 40 bb pot and got 11.

It is so ugly to play 6,5h in a tournament and then getting sucked out on the finaltablebubble.
I realy dont understand how Tournament regs can handle this, and still keep motivated.
i mean reaching the 11. place of tournament with 2100 players should feel like a succes but it more feels like a kick in your bollocks....

First MTT I played with my pokerstrat. br I won out of 600 players (only 1$buy-in). Since then I have played about 15MTT's I think for 5$. I've been fifth out of 500once; been 11th out of 250 and the most painful one was 13th out of 1700. I had a pretty big stack 4th I guess and busted out against the chipleader. I had pocket jacks and raised from the button, he minreraised from BB. I smelled a rat but JJ 7handed is a monster and pushed in, thinking "I'm not playing to just make final table, but I'm playing to win 2K first place". Ofcourse I lost... I mean, ahead or not, sometimes when ur deep in a tourney you just get cold decked... It's happened to me a few times lately to the point I started doubting my own late MTT play... But honoustly it's just the way it is... Winning an MTT takes luck and you're never happy when you're done unless you win... That's what makes it tough...

since i run bad and even play worse i left the tables.
I will go on snowboard vacations tomorrow so i wont play any more this year.
so i will make a short summary of this year.

This is the first year i played poker with a professionel attitude, that why i am satisfied with my results.
I could manage to win about 20k without bonuses and promos.

there is some stuff i wanna do better in 2010:

-start to watch more videos again
-more coachings ( I only had 2 yet, and those i took for 6 max)
-review more hands
-play more a-game and work on mindset(!!!!!!!!most IMPORTANT!!!!!!!!)
-keep running good on nl 100
-start running good on nl 200
-cash out less(!!!) 800 max
-start to improve my 6max game again

Goals :
- play at least 25k hands/month
- beat nl 200 hu with >5ptbb
- climb up in the limits as far as possible
- ship a tournament

i am back from vacations and just finished the 60k on full tilt on 14. place.
Nice ...one more time just befor the finaltabel...i like tournaments.

But i am not as pissed as the last time, but not motivated enough to tell some holiday storys but they will follow.

what is hero's image? how often did you see villain fire second barrel?

my image should be solid i folded a lot to 3 bets and he doesnt catch a bluff of me till this point, 2 min befor i played raise/call with pair+flushdraw in 3 betpot on the flop.
I dont know enough about secondbarrels in 3 bet pot but he was aggresive and secondbarrels a lot in single raised pots.

I think call turn and bluff river if he gives up should be more profitable if you dont know he is secondbarreling this board with a wide range?

just a short update
I am down about 20 buyins so i am not that motivated ..sry for that

After a cashout ( yeah i know i dont wanted to cash out so much, but snowboarding and party were important ) and some stacks down on 200 (agian) i dropped some more on 100. Unfortunately i have to admit that i was playing some hands on tilt.
My holdem manager doesnt work right as well..hes importing hands but the tablemanager and the HUD doesnt open.
If anyone has an idea ...let me know

I have to learn for my exames the next 4 weeks and this is going to get realy hard work cause i was sooo lazy during the semester.

So i am a bit pissed at the moment ...

at least the downswing leads me to work harder on my game again and i am very aktiv in the german sample hands forum
I started to watch some videos again . among some strategy videos i started the Tommy Angelo series on DC and i can realy suggest it

so I hope everybody has more luck than me on the tables

Oh, good(well not really) your in a downswing aswell, I'm in my biggest so far, about 30 stacks at nl200hu. Pretty sick! But we will recover GL!

oh 30 stacks is sick.. what was your standart devison and winrate befor this downswing ?
Did you have tiltproblems?
And how do you handle your downswing?

I still have problems with my HM he know doesnt open at all..but maybe this is a sign for me and i should take the break and come back with a lot of motivation

Does HEM have a forum where they can help you. When I had PT3 problems, they were very quick to help me out on their forums.

Atm, I@m not very happy about it. Because whenever I run a bluff they catch me, whenever I hit flush, they got a bigger flush, I have AA got it in deep vs KK they hit, and constantly hit on turn and river bigger pairs. Pretty sick. Had another big loosing session yesterday.

And yes, ofc you don`t loose 30 stacks without some kind of tilt. Although I don`t think I tilt much.

To be honest I don`t know what to do... Guess I have to somehow grind it out.

Thx they have a forum and i could fix all problems now.

Yes I think we have to grind it out, but i have the feeling I kind of lost my game although I am working on it harder when ever befor.
I am calling in the wrong spots, bluffing to the wrong time.
But maybe I am a bit subjective.
Good example is how good my 4 bets work.

I 4 betet in the last few sessions a few opponents with more than 20% 3 bet and they allways shoved over, about 10 times.

I was tilting sometimes but i learned to quit the session.
But I think I wasnt on A-game a lot (of course this is kind of tilt too).

..after the last 2 downsings I was running really hot ...so there is some hope...and of course it is positive that it leads me to work on my game again

I played against a maniac on two tables.
33% 3 bet and so on
I lost AQ<AA (ofcourse he has the nuts when i am 4 betting for value the first time)
and flush<flush in 3 bet pot for 170bb

God damm ...I thought about quiting this guy right away because of the variance against maniacs but i saw a chance to get out of the down.
If these guys are tilting it happens that they leave >10buy ins down

but in the end i had to quit because i couldnt handle loosing even more...

where do you get ur heads up content from?
