Omaha clicking, Project 2026

Nasty nasty ending in 50€ PSKO today. Basically this hand ruined it even though I still stayed alive for orbit or so:

This was in spot where two needed to drop out to get ITM and villain had 43.6€ bounty also. Mincash was only 40€ so that wasnt that important and AJ was clear call. I had been aggro though tightened because of 3bet happy BB. I think SB shove was pretty spewy when I also cover him and likely have little raise-fold range versus BB (also had 40.8€ bounty).

Well anyway something liek -100€ from MTT but SNG saved the day and got into +86€ profit

Forgot to analyze the last MTT hand on stream so here is the spot:

Mo reads on villain but big stack and BU has good possibility for widish range. In HRC if BU opens 39.7%, 22+ Ax K7s+ K6o+ Q8s+ Q8o+ J8s+ J8o+ T9s T8o+ and call 15.8%, 44+ A5s+ A7o+ KTs+ KQo we will make +0.8BB profit. Not huge I suppose but I think call or shove are both reasonable pre. Unfortunately run into JJ, :censored:!!!

PS: And yeah it was ITM moment ago so pure cEV play.

Have been thinking about starting omaha project. Playing some small stake like PLO10 or something. Though would probably need some refreshment of basic open raise range etc.

Well played two tables for moment. This was biggest pot:

So hand looked like decent one to 3bet and I had not 3bet single time so maybe villains put me to AAxx mainly. Open raiser had seemed decent as far as I can tell (wont mean much).

So flop pot was 3.35€ and really dry. So my thinking was that I bet 2€ and have close to pot size left if villain call. Plan was to shove turn if its Q, J or T so I will have some sort of wrap giving decent equity and I can have those AAxx I would play in same manner. If turn was K or 9 I would have probably given up having only gutshot. Well turn was really good giving me.... Hmm 4 + 3*4 = 16 outs I think. Well spade might not always be out.

I would imagine villain should fold to 3bet? I mean Axxxr seems pretty bad hand to play versus tight 3betting range. Well I dont really know

This one was simply for flop spot. Well this was actually passive villain so likely clear cbet but should we cbet versus aggro opponents also? Anyway I went for check here thinking I dont want to get raised (though was unlikely versus this villain) or should we be happy to cbet-call always with top pair, gutshot and weak flush draw. Looks nice hand but lack of nut outs is problematic if we get raised?

In this one I had already read that ser fellow was big calling machine. So I had pot raised pre, cbet 40% on flop and 60% on turn. Idea was that this villain can call lot of Qx or some pockets and in river I then hope for check-check unless A comes... Well maybe check flop or bet flop, check turn would make more sense? Anyway he pot river and I super snap folded.

No reads on villain really outside of tight preflop so far. So I open raised, BB called. I cbet 70%, BB pot and I called. Fairly happy to bet-call flop with OESD and two backdoor flush draws.

Then turn comes as shown. Should this be just fold readless? I suppose some people can have like T98x or similar and maybe small chance that some could overplay like J7xx like this? Might be slim hope. Obvious issue is if villain has JJ, 77, J6, 76 I am drawing really really thin and at least outside 76 those other are very reasonable holdings for flop line. Seemed still ok hand for holdem player but I start to think I were probably optimistic on this one...

In this one cbet flop and double barreled turn. I suppose this works as some sort of "value/equity denial with some chance to improve" sort of bet? ♦

I dont expect any better hand to fold on turn though.

Result was only -4.5€ for this session so not bad. Folding that previous post turn spot would have made it profitable one.

Hoh another short session in PLO10 and 27€ profit now, BOOOOM!!!

This was quite a hit. Just hoping villains wont turn better FH. BTW do you guys think villain could ever fold in this spot or is this just mandatory stack off for him? Not sure how tight one should be with draws on paired boards.

Had one hand where I had like T985ss on BU in 4way pot. Flop was 776 with flush draw but not mine. SB donk bet like 20% pot, call, call and I thought should I just fold right away. Well called, turn was some J blank. Again really small bet, everyone call. River 9, SB check, BB bet 1/3 of pot, fold and I folded my straight. SB called with K7 and BB had 97. Just made me wonder that though price was good its such multiway pot that even if I have wrap does it really have barely any value?

I dont know if river fold was good. I suppose BB could be value betting 85 or T8 with small size. But just felt that when it was 4 way he probably has FH pretty often.

Nah PLO50 is nice rounder number!

Really nasty run on sng HU phase today. Still minor profit though. One 50€ I covered villain in four different allins and lost all.

Oh well another session where winning preflop all-in in HU was like miracle. Lost quite a few with 70% equity and way more in 40-60%. Again last game versus total nit who kept folding his button and overfolding BB but when opponent wins 4-5 times all-in in row...

In 50€ MTT dropped in bubble (like 9 ITM with 12 left) with A2. Defended BB versus aggro big stack BU open. Flop came A96r which I c-c. Turn 4s opening flush draw and called again. River Qh and hero called versus shove. Villain had AK. I had 2s but that's not bad blocker card versus his bluffs.

I think AT and A2 would be close to same value as call hand. A2 might even be better. Depends if villain triple barrel AT or not. For me personally readless it would be close. Likely only double barreling AT. But calling A2 over A8 is clearly better.

AQ I would have 3bet-called pre and AJ just called. 99 and 66 would have probably been best as shove hands so from nutty holding I can have A9, A6, 96s, 64s, Qs9s/Qs6s if those were possible. Would have played those all same way as I would not have raise range on such flop.

So river fold would have been ok option probably but don't mind either way.

Mincashed on both mtt and some profit from sng ending into 140€ profit. So almost filled yesterday hole.
