Okie, I thought I'd start writing a blog of my (up and coming) poker career. I first started playing last August when a friend introduced me to the game, I was pretty clueless on the game n would ask what seem like stupid questions now - "What's better, a low flush or high pair" :tongue: And had to keep looking at the hand rankings 'till it stuck in my head. When I started playing I didn't really have good bank roll management, If I lost my money I'd just put more on when I got paid. I'm not a big gambler though! I mostly played $1 sng's and the occasional $2-$5 tournament. In November last year I joined another poker site and started doing better, I was ITM about 40% of the time and doubled my bankroll by January (slowly but surely?) after that I made a withdrawal and still had more money on than when I started. I think I am starting to understand the game a lot better and this site has definitely improved my game!! I haven't followed the BRM entirely, as I hate $1 sng's, so I've played $2 ones - But haven't been below -$2.5 in profit playing sng's. After coming 5th in an MTT a couple of days ago I boosted my BR to $120 and it is nearly $150 now so I'm hoping to move up to $5 stake sng's soon!! I will keep updated with my progress!! (Hopefully which is good)

I guess I'm on a downswing or TILT or whatever. I've lost about $70 which isn't a massive amount but its the way I'm losing it which is pissin me off. Every time I have AK I seem to hit the flop but lose to KJo or Q8s or some other crap which shouldn't be calling my preflop raise. I guess these are the players that will stack me when I'm ahead 80% of the time but nothing except bad beats lately.

I played 1 MTT yesterday n decided to play like a total donk with 40%vpip and I actually did pretty well untill close to ITM, it was fun to play anyway, actually playing hands instead of fold fold fold.

Today I was planning on starting SSS coz I've never played it before, n maybe theres less suckouts than SNG's, but my PC is broke n I can't get Pokertracker to work so I guess I'll start that another day or when my PC is fixed.

I decided to give SSS a go, n had a bit of bad luck. Played 760 hands last night n today, I know its not that many yet n I can probably win at it in the longrun if I stick at it. Playing about 3-6 tables at the moment, I'm not great at multitabling so its quite a lot for me. Anyway, I'll post a little graph and stats.

I seem to be winning a lot with JJ, had it 9 times and lost only once with it.

Lost twice with QQ, once to AA n once to 44.

N seem to be getting into bad situations like AQ vs AK, n AJ trips vs Full house.

Hopefully my bad luck will wear off eventually

I got it to work eventually, I was down to 600 chips at one table.

I've been playin sng's by all the SHC's, steal/resteal charts and push/fold charts, but I always seem to lose on the bubble or sometimes worse. I'm startin to think I have a black cloud following me around.

My BR is down to $536, about $300 less than my highest point. Maybe I am just a bad player but even when I'm following PS strategies 100% I still lose so I guess I'm just cursed. Fulltilt has got a vendetta against me, maybe I should move my BR elsewhere.

I guess I'm finally done with poker, I've only ever made real $ playing MTT's and not won for months n months, I'm just slowly burning off my BR to rake. From the past 68 sng/mtt's I've made $0.78 profit, so Poker doesn't seem worth my time, I might aswell cashout my BR while I still have money left. I am a bad player n I don't think I'm disciplined enough to follow the strategies on here 100% I can think of better things to do than get stressed over bad beats n bad play by me.
