awesome, I noticed that about SH too a while ago. Careful of SH though you can lose a lot in a short time playing SH.

Great blog and grats on the bankroll news. I've added you as a friend as Lozz mentioned your name as another micro stakes player starting the climb up the levels

Yeah I'm aware of that. If swings get to big in the wrong direction I'll jsut jump down and build up again. I'm taking shots to climb quicker and thereby evolve faster as a player. :)

Thank you :) Hope to see more of both of you here. We should really help eachoter to become better! Added you aswell.

I had a go at some 6max before, felt so alien! won half a BI in like 100 hands so thats OK. Rainbow you should post some hands that concern you so we can discuss. That is of course if you feel you could have done better in any hands :f_cool:

Ok I'll post one ;) Here I have one I played yesterday.

Known players:
[tg]Position_Stack:hands/vp$ip/RaisePreflop/AF/WTS/ORL/BBvsSteal/W$SD;Hero$8,11:///////;BB$7,4:88/26/11/1.4/25/15/50/60;[/tg]
0,02/0,04 No-Limit Hold'em (6 handed)
Hand recorder used for this poker hand: Elephant.Base 0.92 by www.pokerstrategy.com.

Preflop: Hero is SB with 3♠, 3♣
4 folds, Hero raises to $0,16, BB calls $0,12.

Flop: ($0,32) T♣, 7♦, 5♣ (2 players)
Hero bets $0,23, BB calls $0,23.

Turn: ($0,78) Q♥ (2 players)
Hero bets $0,48, BB raises to $1,64, Hero folds.

Final Pot: $2,90

So I raise from small blind with 33 and get a call.

The flop is relatively dry and he rarely hits here. I think he can have some pocket pairs or maybe some broadway combination. So I c-bet and get called.

Now I'm thinking he has hit the 10 or he has some PP like JJ or lower(He would have raised me preflop otherwise). Also he might have hit trips.

When the Q falls i double barrel. It's and excellent card in my opinion to bet at since if he called me with hands like AT A7 A5 KT K7 K5 JJ and other PPs and so on he would have to fold. A flush draw would also have to fold to this bet.
Instead he re-pops me. I really can't do much here. I can't call because I'm probably way behind I' cant push it since he willhave so good odds to call.

Did I do the right thing c-betting here? Was it justified to make another bet when the queen came? What do you think? :)

haha, your nick caught my attention... I thought "haha aww thats cute, might aswell take a look".

And what do you know, a fellow Swede! I'm from sweden aswell, Borlänge :) Where abouts are you from?

And why are you hanging around in the english forums and not the swedish forums? There are quite some nice promotions running in the swedish forums which arent running in the english forums...

Take the best of 2 worlds, like me! :)

Västerås ;)

I thought I'd have my blog in the english section since its bigger but ill probably post some in the swedish section too :)

You have the initiative from pre-flop so I think the cbet is fine. I would probably bet a little bit less though. When he calls I think there are three possibilities for his hand:

1. a made hand. He could even have an over pair depending on what your image is like. If you have been stealing a lot he could just call hoping to entice more bets out of you
2. a draw: suited cards and connectors are easily within his range I would say
3. he is floating

Personally, I wouldn't bet the turn and would hope to check it down as I think its too likely he actually has a piece of the flop or a PP better than 33. If you think he is floating I like to check raise

Well, if he is floating a double barrel should scare him off. Also no draws hit and he really doesn't have odds to call with a FD. So a overpair/trips/purebluff is my guess. I mean i don't think he will double float me. He won't call me with PP worse than JJ since the Q just hit.

Maybe I'm not used to using scare cards yet. Or maybe I can't use it at the level I'm at right now :P

It's a really crap spot to be in, methinks Betting out of position with a weak hand just seems to hardly ever work on the micros.

26/11 can easily play alot of the higher suited connectors, I don't think this board is particularly dry and if we include good suited connectors broadways and pocket pairs in his range its hard to make him fold. On turn I don't think he is good enough to lay down any pair, nor do I think he will lay down any of his good draws (high f/d / oesd) so id just give up.

OMG :f_cry: down 5 BI on NL4 Im down at 67 dollars in total. I don't know what to do this sucks so much! I've been getting sucked out all day. Donks hitting EVERYTHING at the last card. I seriously dont know what to do? Back down on nl 2 and grind my way up again?

hey there;, in regards to the 33 hand. preflop bet sizing is nice since your both deep.
post flop I dont see much reason to cbet unless hes an absolute nit. there are just so many draws here 68 aint folding, Q5-A5 aint folding Tx aint folding, and of course since you are both so deep any 2 clubs are calling your cbet.

what is your cbet going to achieve here? not much :(.

turn card doesnt change very much. while it is a nice card to double barrel with, your not gonna push many people off a Tx hand, and your going to end up being 3bet by plenty of two pairs, strong queens etc.

until you hit 25NL, spend 50% of your time reviewing your hand histories and posting them in the hand evaluation forums/watching poker coaching vids/attending coachings

imo.

Hey, think of it this way, you can get back up playing NL2 pretty easy, it didn't take you long last time. Just don't get distracted by your losses when you go back.

Yeah, agree with Lozz. It's just variance. You climbed up before you can do it again _biggrin:

Thanks guys :) Yeah I'll step down to NL2FR again and grind it up again. I'll try to study more about SH until next attempt :f_biggrin:

I have moved down again to NL2 and grinding my way up again. Ill try a new approach to NL4 this time. I'll play FR instead of SH and I'll try to build myself a roll of about 40-60 BI for NL4 then try SH. :f_cool:

Is it a big difference between NL2 and NL4FR?

If you think of it in terms of your winrate then yes, there will always be a difference in winrate between limits, but often it is so insignificant a difference that you would need a massive sample size to even see it.

Is it a big difference between NL2 and NL4FR?

In a word, no.
