Slight update

I can't really express difficult it was for me re-gain motivation once I hit rock bottom. It feels like it was only few weeks ago when I was comfortably grinding 25NL and knowing that I can beat it. But once your metal state goes into blackout just because of some outside poker stuff, you start to fall with speed of light and face the ground. :f_cry:

I think majority of people have been there and done that before, however only few of them have actually found the strength to continue and succeed. I am on my way to success, even though it is tough, I WILL "build my house" and I will put the effort in. _evil:

I am so glad that BrokeSoBroke was the man who gave me his hand and pulled me out of this sea of hopelessness that I had inside me. I know that I have it in me to make the run, but I need the right shoes to run faster than anyone else. And if there is only one man who can provide me with those shoes, that is BSB. His approach to things is different to anyone I have spoken so far, especially poker wise. There is a lot of hard work involved, yet it is so simple. I like how he can make with few simple words put you in position that you start believing in yourself more than ever before. :f_biggrin:

New beginning

This is a new start for me. I have to forget everything I have learned before because it is not relevant anymore. I have to make my sick work ethic even sicker. To be honest, if it was possible to stay awake 24/7 without exhausting your body and mind I would do it and work on improving myself. :f_biggrin: However, in the real world we need a plan.

I need to set myself goals that I would like to achieve with this deal and I need to have a plan how I will do it.

Goals

:spade: 2014 :spade:

Crush 100NL
Take shots at 200NL

:diamond: 2015 :diamond:

Crush 200NL
Take shots at 500NL

 2016

Crush 500NL
Take shots at 1000NL

:club: 2017+ :club:

Conquer world

I don't mind if anyone of these come sooner or later. This is not the main point. As long as I keep improving everyday I will eventually reach these goals. I am not going to attach myself too much to these.

Learn, play, evaluate, repeat.

In one years time my results will be something like this.

:f_biggrin:

In the mean time, I don't promise frequent updates or anything like that. Because... guess why... yes that's right, I will be improving my game instead. :f_cool:

Let the epic journey begin! :f_p:

Thank you for your attention reading this.

Back to crushing,

Rihard

P.S. Haters gonna hate...

Hey folks,

Y U NO GRAPH?
I know many of you are keen for an update etc. I am planning to make a proper update once I get to 10NL. Just to let you know that my progress is going really good. I work on my game, grind as much as I can right now and run decent as well. :) If you don't believe, BSB can confirm.

Made this post to so the thread doesn't get covered with dust. :f_biggrin:

Emotional state

Mindset wise I feel so great! Greater than I ever have felt before. All this thanks to BSB. Well I thank him for giving the support and the tools for self-improving. His approach to the game makes me tilt less, or you can say not to tilt at all...

The reason for tilt-less mindset is always to have a plan when playing, otherwise why would you tilt? If you are ready to every behavior on the table, your emotions are not affected because you are ready. This is how I feel. I also keep reminding myself certain things to keep the focus on and not get driven away by robotic play.

All in all feeling really good. So guys, if you work hard on your game, you all can make it to where you all desire.

Grind hard & good luck!

Rihard

Hello community,

So here comes the update you all are waiting (maybe not). I am moving up to 10NL, already took a small shot and was confident in my game enough to say that I will stay and play well. As for 5NL, I can say it is piece of cake as long as you don’t make mistakes and exploit everyone. It is fairly easy to exploit people on 5NL because only few of them make small adjustments, but those can be counterfeited also. If someone is still stuck on 5NL and says that it is hard to beat it or for whatever reason, I can assure you that you don’t make enough effort to beat it… simple as that. Face the fact that you are bad and work on your game, make adjustments, understand your image…

5NL Results

So here are my results on the sample at 5NL. Always having a plan helps a lot. All I had to do is to just adjust to players, exploit their leaks aggressively until they tell me not to. Once they tell me that they have adjusted I simply find another hole to put my bucket under it and keep collecting money.

Overall 5NL graph

This month at 5NL

Redline/Blueline don’t matter at all. We care about our greenline and lots of players forget about that and they focus on the most irrelevant things which generates lack of focus and increase in mistakes. Thinking about one hand at a time is definitely the approach everyone should take, no need to rush yourself in decisions, find the best solution for each hand, if necessary practice at one table until it becomes automatic.

10NL – not enough sample

So at 10NL I don’t have enough sample just yet to post any graphs or whatever. But after a week or two, I’m sure that I will have a nice graph to post. I’ll just keep improving, grinding and eventually the money will come.

Mindset

This is crucial aspect of poker for any player. So as long as you have a plan for every hand your mindset is going to be in the zone and you will tilt less, if at all. I don’t remember the last time I had proper tilt to be honest since I started with BSB. I feel so good. I’m confident in my game, yet I still have to keep an eye on my development, so I don't get off the tracks.

So every microstakes grinder out there struggling – start working on your game properly and you WILL get out of there. The one and only reason why you are still there is because you are simply lazy and you don’t have determination to get out. If you really want to get to the level where money is printed, you have to be willing to take that extra mile.

Grind hard & good luck!

Rihard :)

You've worked hard so I'm glad to see things looking up for you. Kind of ironic a BsB student is running above ev haha

May i know your Flop cbet %. And was it worth to squeeze with non nutted hands like JJ+ AQ+ ? Or was it pure exploiting each of them?

I struggle on nl5

Something between 60-70%.

Of course it is worth squeezing with those hands. You just need to know when and why, and then how to proceed postflop.

AlvisR, you're vpip/pfr is way too low, you should steal weazels preflop ranges from his latest videos series.

edit: o wait, unless thats not 6max, then ignore :f_cool:

Was about to say this as well. AlvisR, you are definitely playing too tight which leads to these results. People will never stack off light vs you, it is also easy to attack your image as people will usually cbet once and give up once you call unless they have decent hand.
