Session 57 - NL10 - 16/10/22

Great game, played really well, think I can still be more aggressive in some areas but I made some really good calls and I was on an upwards climb until the end, I got discouraged by an unlucky hand where the villain had 10% equity against my made straight and his two pair.

Hand Analysis 1 - MY FAVOURITE HERO CALL YET

(Pre 79%, Flop 87%, Turn 95%)

Hero wins $29.85

I had to think about this hand for a long time but his story didnt make sense, he didnt bet the flop, which he would have done 100% and I just didnt believe he hit trips, I had him tagged as a fish and his bet sizing didnt look like it was for value, it looked like it was made to make anyone fold. I was right and it paid off massively.

Hand analysis 2 - I deserved to lose this one really - hero 90% equity v villian 10%

I only played this hand to catch out this player; by rights I should have folded this hand for sure pre flop. I also had a gut feeling he would hit the boat but I still didnt cash out. I guess it didnt turn out to be a massive lose in the end but it was the start of a slow downwards slope down. We got into a back and forth reraise war and he still throw down his whole stack on two pair, its been noted and I'll get him back another day

Profit: $48.34

So you're very fine today :) more than fine

Haha yeah youre right! I give up for today, I'll carry on tomorrow if its still about. Hope you managed to do well today and look forward to speaking to you more! thanks for coming along to my blog

It is very bard win tournament on lowest stakes for example I this week lose three tournaments when I have KK vs two times AQ and one 66. How micro cash games idiots too often get lucky because they play garbage and they are happy for that.

You can't be very good regular with such mindset. We should thanks recreational players for playing bad, that's why can earn on poker. So we should be greatful for that. Anyway, it is up to you of course

Ok You can one, two times can be patient when they got lucky but very often it is not normal. I check on ggpoker pokerctaft my stats and I see on position luck worst run do IT is something wrong. Not normal too when fish sit at table with 400, 500 bb and that is not ocassional picture on poker tables. It is very hard to be happy when You lose every hand like KK preflop vs worse hands, say me it is too hard one on this situation win with better hand on tournament?

I feel for you, but it is part of life, it is not iven about poker. You have good days, you have bad days, only thing you can do is to accept it and not be angry or blade bad players. Again - it is up to you, it is your life. If you want to spend your energy on bad emotions and you don't want to work on yourself to avoid them, meditate, learn how to get rest (getting rest iven meaning how you spend 5-30 minute breaks between sessions also, what you are doing in that time etc), then you can keep concentrate on bad feeling of course, but it is not the way how you feel yourself good

Could have done a lot better today but I made some mistakes but I also made some amazing calls against bluffs.
Particurly proud of this hand, he just made no sense;

I spent quite a bit of money on some satilettes into WSOOP. Took a shot at a few medium entry ones, as well as the small one numberous times. Honestly just not getting the luck I need.

Still looking rough but I know I'm making mistakes, which could have been potential profit. Overall, I think I'm getting slightly better each session. An upwards trend over 10k hands is good to see. I've made nearly $200 over 10k hands so far - Thats even with known mistakes and leaks.

What are you talking about? You get to see a flop + turn for free and you make the nuts on the turn where you get it allin with 90% equity. You totally deserved to win and played the hand perfectly. You just got unlucky in a very uncommon situation. I would tilt so hard after that :f_biggrin: :f_ugly: At least you kept your cool.

When you put it like that then you’re right but I’m always kicking myself when I lose a hand where technically I should have folded pre flop haha (because you should play tight on NL10 because of the high rake)

I'm going to make it my mission to win this tournament for the $109 entry into the low WSOOP. I keep getting so close. Ironically, the hands I would have won enough to get ahead and potentially win are those where I'd normally lose, like 22 pocket pair, I probably would have gained enough chips to win top 2 but I folded because normally in a multiway pot you'd be drawing dead a lot lol.

(We was all in pre flop)

I think I'm playing the tornament correctly, considering it's purely just going all in with decent equity hands and stealing pots the whole game and of course working out pot odds when you have really relatively weak hands like 79s and seeing if its worth calling just for the shot.

Bankroll: $701.86

I play two tournaments today, first I lose KK vs JJ preflop (fourth time in row on tournament when KK lose vs worse hand) and second when I nearly payout places I go all in preflop with queens and get call from ATo and he get ace on board. Maybe next time will be better for You too on tournaments.

Folding versus SB open limp might be non optimal approach :)

I'm losing my absolute mind with these freerolls. I literally keep making 11th place. The hands like K9s and low pp are the hands I'm folding because I'm waiting for prem hands and I would have donked big pots, which could have seen me maybe win the tournaments. Then I wait for prem hands like this AKs v 67s and I lose when I flop trips?! what do I do lmao
I'm gonna keep trying until these freerolls end, however the game is literally bingo, and it's so annoying lol

______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

On lighter news, I had another amazing cash game. Made a hero call, which was a massive pot, I'm getting into a good trend of recognising the bluffs from loose aggressive players and reading the story they are trying to tell me and I'm 100% profitting by it. See the hand below how it turned out!

Profit: $40.36

Just one of those days where I can't win a hand lol - as shown by my expected EV line, I'm happy, least I'm making the right choices. I'll get em next time

Knew this guy was chasing a flush. He called and hit it with a 25% chance. I know its not a guarentee win but imagine this hand but the whole session for me lol.
Another one was a donk calling all in with Q3 after catching a queen and I had KK. He hit the 3 on the river lol

Loses: $30.75

Had a little bit of an unlucky phase this session, the usual with my KK v AA - it happens, I'm never folding really. But this was all outweighed by the fact I finally won a satellite to the $109 WSOOP, my first real shot at a decent title. In my 10 years of poker, I have never won a ticket of this magnitude.

I didnt actually consider my availability for this event but I really hope I'm about to make it back on time for the Sunday lol, if not I'm playing on my phone I guess xD
