Played for 6 hours today and that has been an all time record for me!

never really played more than 2-3 hours a day!

Well....

It was crazy! I managed to spew off my 5 buy-in profit, and another 4 buy-ins along side that.

I wouldn't say I'm pissed off. I'm more disappointed and irritated that I allowed myself to tilt.

Today just shows how much work I still need to improve my mental game. I've injected logic and looking to do another 3 hour session to end the day with a 9 hour total time playing poker.

Thanks!

Will update once I finish!

Take Care,

MAythany

in total I play 8400+ hands today and around 9 hour ish.

I decided to log a little early because my internet is laggy as heck right now.
(previous posts are about me complaining about my internet)

so my overall session looks like this:

-----------------____________------------------

So today was pretty much break even with a total of $0.15 profit :)

I swear, If I didn't lash out when I was tilting, I could have saved at least 2 buy-ins. I know that for sure!

It may not seem much, but it adds up in the long run.

check this hand out LOL!

2nl is going great!

Going to be using fishes' money to subscribe to a poker training site for zoom/cash games so I can get better and take more of it =) =) =)

In the near future, I am going to want to move to 5nl and eventually to 10nl.

Not too sure about 25nl, but I definitely want to make it to 10nl because there's some money there if you multi-table.

I may also move to full tilt poker and play rush 5nl. One reason I would move to FTP would be to take advantage of the $600 deposit bonus.

Also, I am eventually going to purchase leakbuster and notecaddy. I feel those two addons will benefit me a lot.

so yeah.. that's it for now....

hanging around 8bb/100 hands for 2nl 4 tabling.

trying to get 10bb/100+, but there's a lot of leaks I need to plug and one of them is not to be scared post flop and fold em when your opponent's got em =) =) =) =)

also another thing I found out is how much rake I pay.

So far, I've earned $54.29 and over 34,140 hands I've payed $40.90 in rake!!!!

That's crazy!

Hello man, great progress there

Recommend finding some activity that cools you off when you tilt, practice some self-awareness stuff like stopping for a moment just close your eye, breath for few seconds and tell your self what you are going to do next.
Hopefully that will at the very least get you to stop playing and burning money.

About Fulltilt, I've checked the platform few days ago... it's DEAD !
less than 10k online ;P nothing to play really ..so either stay on stars or go some other platforms that have Fastpoker also

gl at teh tables ;)

between the sickness and struggling to find time to play poker because of work, working out, and time with the nephew, I finally got poker back into my routine.

First day back and I pretty much did some horrible mistakes like being married to your hand and not reading the board correctly.

first hand I got attached to aces. Well I played it horribly too so I guess I deserved that, but I do feel I could have saved some BBs for sure.

Second hand, I misread the board and forgot there was a FD on the flop and it got there on the turn lol.

only 4 buy-ins over 4k hands so it's not a huge hole.

Thanks!

It's nice to see you made it back into the positive.

I used to get really frustrated with those crazy days too (and still get a little bit frustrated from time to time if I'm going to be honest.) Something that I think helps me mentally, is that I look at those days as opportunities that have 2 possible outcomes:

:diamond: I review my play and discover that I really wasn't playing that good after all, now I am aware of the leaks and can fix them.
:diamond: I review my play and discover that I was playing pretty well after all and just hit some bad outcomes, now I am even more confident in my game and expect good future results.

Once I wrapped my head around that - the crazy times ain't so crazy any more.

I've been thinking about how to play kk-aa preflop lately.

Say I raise and get 3-bet by an opponent.

Honestly, if I 4bet, it's going to be obvious to my opponent what I have.

I was thinking if I 4bet jammed then it wouldn't be so obvious that I had kk-aa.

Then again, is it better to min 4bet or to 4bet jam?

You know I'm a STT-SnG player and not a cash player so take my thoughts for what they are as the dynamics are different as you well know.

In that scenario, I include those hands in my 3-Bet/Call range vs a single opponent most of the time. Things to consider are your opponent and your position on the flop. If he is a loose gambler type then I try to extract as much pre-flop as possible. Otherwise I am likely just calling and going to the flop with a plan based on our positions and his tendencies with Flop-CBets - i.e. OOP I'm either going to C-Bet (if he's likely to call) or hope to check-raise (if he is likely to fold to a bet, but may try to steal vs my perceived weakness). IP I am almost always going to bet or raise.... Then I see the flop and re-evaluate my plan.

If I'm against 2 or more opponents who have at least called my original raise, then I am probably 4-bet shoving.

To answer your last (and actual) question though - it depends on opponent... a loose gambler type - jam it, anyone else when stacks are deep is probably a regular 4-bet.

HEM2 hasn't updated zoom yet so I'm switching over to PT for the time being.

Decided to play normal speed 2nl euro because of the exchange it's actually $3.50nl _cool: _cool:

lost two buy-ins to two major bad beats.

normal speed is just too slow so I'm going to stick to speed poker :f_biggrin:

well I'm definitely beating 2nl, but only very marginally.

To be honest, I expected to be beating the stake for much more than what I am right now.

I downloaded so many nlh videos about zoom and cash games for my stake and I only watched a small handful of them.

I say it is time to take studying more seriously now.

I want to be playing 10nl zoom by December.

so I sprained both my wrists on Friday skateboarding.

luckily it didn't break because most of the impact was on it.

Although the weekends are great to play poker because of the amount of loose players at the table, it is swingy, but I am going to conclude that it is majorly +EV to play on weekends.

my internet keeps disconnecting me and it's pissing me off so i'm going to chill out for a little bit and come play late ron in the day.

Take Care,

Maythany
