starting with $25..where will i end up? a plo2 pipedream

hey ladies and gents. my name is andrew and i will be playing some plo2 on pokerstars zoom tables with a very limited and shitty hm2 hud that doesnt work right...long story.

facts about me:
im 24 years old. i live in pei, canada. ive been playing poker since i was 14 and have lost well over 3.5k in my lifetime at poker. i hope to have something different to say then this one day. im not into smileys and images. i dont know how to use holdem manager to its fullest...im using the free trial right now and as it stands i would not buy it if it were the last program on earth. i started as a holdem player, but found a love for omaha cash games sooner then later. my fave all time movie is rounders. lately ive been watching it at least once per day because it inspires me to just grind it out rather then going crazy every hand and gambling with things as mediocre as a A hi FD all in on the flop.

my starting roll is only $25.60, but i am willing to deposit a lot more if needed so my br management is fine for now imo.

ive watched a few coaching vids on youtube, and some of skodivec (forgive me if i spelled it wrong) coaching vids on pokerstrategy to kickstart my plo career.

i plan on making money and winning. that is why i play poker. not for fun. i have fun while winning...but i still cant enjoy the losses yet. im just not that solid to do so.

my stats before i made tis blog over about 8k hands were pretty bad...so i wont bore you with those details yet.

more about this blog:

if anyone knows how to copy and paste hm2 graphs to the forums please tell me how to do so.

i find plo2 to be extremely soft. havent run into a single TAG that ive known about yet...just mostly loose passive fish who only raise their stronger range...so finding the fold button is pretty easy when playing the game. i like to play TAG style. i prefer to play between 20-24% of hands, raise preflop with about 15-19% of hands, have a 2.5-3.0 agg factor, and 3bet 6-8% of the time. is this a viable strategy? i think so. it seems pretty solid in the "testing" ive done so far. i used to think playing 30-40% of hands in plo was tight because when i first started i wanted to play 80% of hands lollllll. now i realized i cant play that way or ill just keep getting burned time and time again.

i dont really have any plans for shooting plo5 yet, but ill keep everyone updated if my br gets to be large enough to shoot plo5. maybe something in the range of 75 to 100 dollars will be enough to at least start taking 4-5 bi shots.

i wont add anymore because im feeling lazy today. i havent been sleeping well and my weed supply has run a little thin lately...so ill just keep updating as often as i can in the coming days. i hope people can relate to me and post in my blog!

happy grinding.

Hi there ilovemagic and welcome to blogging.

To post a hand from HM2 I use the following:

#1 Go to OPTIONS and click SAVE
#2 I usually save it and put it on my desktop but where you save to is your choice obviously
#3 I upload it to a free image hosting site such as http://tinypic.com
#4 Click file: CHOOSE FILE, highlight the file you want to upload.select OPEN from the options at the bottom left
#5 Click UPLOAD NOW
#6 Choose IMG Code For Forums & Message Boards, highlight the address link in the box and copy/paste into your forum post.

It sounds a lot more complicated than it actually is, but if anyone out there has an easier way perhaps they will let us all know!

Have fun with PLO, it's a fun game.

Mal.

You're very welcome. Oh and even though it was a close run thing, well done on 1000 posts without a reload!

Run good.

got my account up to $75 now. time to take a 2bi shot at plo5. will start by 1 tabling a regular plo table...zoom seems to fast for me at the moment even though i breezed thru plo2 zoom with a 50bb/100 winrate thru about 4k hands, i want to start plo5 slow and my hud works for regular tables so i will have an increased edge going in. wish me luck!
