I think 200BI is much too cautious. Its hard to give a tip as to what you are doing wrong as I think you are doing very well. I would advise sticking to 1 buy in as it makes BRM assessment a lot easier, but also there is huge variation in the dynamics of the game at different buy ins.

EG.
The rake on $3 and $7 is 6%
The rake on $15 and $30 is 5%
So 35.5% win rate compared to 35.1% for break-even.
Theoretically with your roll and win rate now you are losing money playing less than $15. As you I would play $15 and "only" $15 buy ins for now, but I don't want to influence you to do something you are not comfortable with, my calculations are mathematical and do not include factors like your mood and the mood of the recreational players you meet who may or may not be drunk :) at weekends (tilt etc).

Tight play early will mean less chips HU for sure, personally that's how I would go but I'm comfortable playing HU as short stack, it does depend on your style and what you are comfortable with, if you play very tight early you will be playing a lot of HU games against an opponent with double your stack. It depends on the table too if you are against 2 tight players and you sit back and let them chip away at each other, 1 the blinds you lose could be enough to badly affect you HU, 2 by the time its HU the blinds will be so high that the game will be a coin flip. Checking your tracking software to see how you fare HU relative to stack size might give an indication.

It is hard to give definite tips or advice for example you are an MTT player I am a SnG player so I have probably played a lot more HU than you, there are some good articles and videos on PS about HU play.

A couple of probably obvious tips:

Hands like suited connectors and ace suited although valuable in MTT have very little value here you should rarely if ever open a pot with them.

Check your SB play in your tracker software, are you calling as SB? Are you losing to position from SB? Are you losing to squeeze from the BB when you play SB?

Thank you for all the advice,i would love to play Only 15$,but as i lost a chunk of my BR last night,i will try to play 7$ for now:f_thumbsup:

Checked my Button SB BB,winning big in BB and button, losing a lot of chips in SB.

Guess its time to play a little bit tighter there .

But thing is i steal a lot, from limpers and min-raisers,been 3-betting them,im suprised how often they are folding:f_smile:

Will check out more of the things you wrote about later.

Thanks Again hoagy:f_thumbsup:
