OK, looks like am officially on downswing...

No matter wat I do, no matter I drop tables to make sure I dont rush my decisons, no matter I go thru like 30 sngs a day in replayer at least, no matter my volume is highest in this year...
When u r not suppose to win, u ll not...

Today started like BE, suckout there suckout there but also win there, so...okish...but thn 25BIs drop like WTF and here I am again...

Jut need to play, what else should I do...I might change like 1/100 of my decisions coz they werent the +++EV but only ++EV...sick...

Finally had winning day (about 600ish).

Overall it s pretty good challenge, I managed to play 3 straight days 6,5hrs+ and that s sometin am not usually able to do coz of some laziness or w/e ♦

Had to table select 30s a bit, there were some funny games with 8 regs, but 15s were super soft, so...am not makin as much VPPs as I could but currently I wanna break the swing and dont need to increas variance by playin bad tables.

Indeed, but these bad regs also reduces our $ expectations from the game === lowers the ROI = = = increases variance. In this time I just wanna avoid it a little. Btw this happens only on Monday evening Seems that only regs are playing lol. And by selecting I mean that maybe u drop like 3 games of 14 running or sometin like that...

But back to these good regs - when I have em at the table I just know I dont want to have em there. They adjust nicely, play very solid + nonstandard moves = I already know that if they dont bust it s gonna be tough And if we sit bvb, that s just sick ♦

good news bad news.

Challenge takin first hit (maybe second after the downswing), am feelin ill, was able to play about 2/3rd volume last days, that s great but today am not loadin until I feel better.

Managed to overcome the swing, almost, am in green numbers postRB!

Will definitely play sunday 700$ WCOOP NLH 1,5M gtd, 10k stack, 30mins levels, sweet, hopefully gonna post few interesting hands and hopefully not bust in first setup

Also had interesting phone call last day from a guy I met few years back on live poker who got my number from Michal Maryska who mentioned me in new CardPlayer magazine where he talked about WSOP and so on. This guy asked me to be his poker coach, not just simply coach him on sngs or w/e but more general poker coach, prolly long term, this looks very nice, I would love this kind of a job!

Somehow I get feeling I am starting to have lack of respect with some regs when solid 9/18man reg does play like this in 18man game. Though I don't really like his play at all. It's just so awkward stack size to do it especially when he sizes his 3bet so extremely small ---> my 4bet is going to be smaller ---> his 5bet shove has quite poor risk:reward ratio.

Well one can also question would it be better to just flat my open raise and play postflop from position with nicely disguised hand strength. Compared to go for these crazy 3bet-4bet-5bet things

not in the mood to make some numbers update, but last days sux big time. Still not fully recovered from illness, totally no mood, headache + when u have 3years daughter locked inside the house she gets bored and so on - notin easy...
When I do play it s like...OMG really? Runnin so bad still...regs must like me coz they dominate me every single bubble shove...

Finally in much better mood, so am gonna do update on my challenge.

I did recover from the downer = happy about it.
Also very happy with my routine - little bit longer sessions, few more tables, also "warm up" that I do 2-3 standard spots, just ensure am not spewing somewhere coz of more tables and so on - u know that feeling when u r overwhelmed by tables and u start playin more abc thn most ++ev = start losin your edge and so on. So I do concentrate on playin solid r/f r/c poker, concentrate a lot on bubbles coz I have high % of em (bad luck looks so) and on HUs where I run terribly looong term so I keep gettin better and better and hopefully it ll pay

Gonna be very close to finish this challenge, as I knwo myself, I ll be grindin 16hours a day last week on December ♦

OK some numbers:

18,92% of challenge (counting I ll finish it before Christmass)
16,342VPPs of 104,895 needed (-3,503VPPs nehind the pace)
1,785$ of 20,000$ wanted (-1,999$ behind the pace)

played 1628 games in 89 hours with ABI 25$ (1,1% ROI preRB), hourly 21$ after RB = not so bad considerin 90BIs downer in it Am still very positive I can maintain my goal makin 1$ per game preRB.

Second how much of a difference is if I reach supernova this year instead of starting next year with platinum star?

Hey there,

rakeback - if I count correctly the difference is taht first 100,000VPPs u make u have "just" 2,5x FPP multiplier instead of 3,5x as u would have as Supernova = 100k FPPs difference = 1,600$ difference.

Downer at 15s, checkable at SS, here is the graph:

Technically it s not absolutely correct graph coz of bounties earlier at 2011, but I remember some biggest downer to be during my SN chhallenge, was playin 20tables or more, 4k+ games month no selection with ROI about 4% or so = 70BIs maybe?
This 90BIs downer I had this month was ABI 25, 16 tabling and no selection again = when your ROI gets down close to 0% u can expect high swings...if its 5%+ it should be about 60BIs top I guess, ofc there s like 0,0x% chance u will have higher swing....

I have a few questions if you dont mind

I play a lot of sngs and would love to do it as my job. At the moment I am just your average abc tag playing 9 man microstakes. I am a winner and have studied a lot with push/fold.

In your opinion is it possible to play solid abc poker (tight early game, solid push/fold end game) at the $7 games at pokerstars, 15/20 tabling and make an ok living?

And for example if you play 100 $7 games a day, 5 days a week, how much does this earn in rakeback at the end of the month (not including any profit from the games)?
