35 BIs down today in 210 games, hmmmm....really sucks big time...

Schedule...it is very variable now. My wife is going at school few days a week and not every week, so these days I have to wake up early and take care of our daughter, thn I cant play at night obv coz I have to sleep somehow...so I do switch schedule like every few days. Basically I try to play when I have 3-4 hours time for a session. It is not ideal, but I thought it will be worse since we decided to do it this way...
Being with my family is just superb ;) In other words, I dont have a free time last few months Lookin forward to Januaaarryyyy....

Being at home all the time and not having free time must be weird.

Just came across this blog and spent the last hour reading it. Absolutely awesome read, and inspiring for those wanting to get something out of this game.

Look forward to reading your path to SN and beyond.

Being at home all the time and not having free time must be weird.

I will explain it. When u have a little daughter, believe me that u actually do want to be with her all the time ;) Ofc I wanna go out with some friends and so on from time to time, but for this 4 months (1month left) I started the SN challenge to have more free time next year and to have some nice rakeback, can play more "calm" and so on...So next year I ll have much more free time...but still I ll spend most of it with my family :)
And u probably cant imagine it yet, but check this - "normal" family life is like - woman with a child is at home, taking care of her and so on and the husband is working his ass off to make some money. These days when times arent super sweet ppl have to work usually many hours to get some income and still most of them has some kind of an hypothec or loan or something. And the man comes from the work at the afternoon, more often at the evening...my point is that it is just superb to be with my daughter at the mornings, take her out for a walk, to the playground - u should also see the faces of all the women there, theres no men at the morning And my job gives one more great opportunity to my wife - she can finish her school (dentist) and I can take of our daughter. And...we still have no loans! And when u r your own master and dont have to listen to some cocky boss and idiotic coworkers...awesome. U r your own time manager - perfect.
Soo I dont have much free time but I have some and I spend it wit my family...every father would :) These months I just skip few pubs with friends and so on to get my goal, but everyone has to do that sometimes in every other work...someone has to do that all his life to get some income...so...am really really happy for this opportunity...

Have kids myself, and they definately change you life. Make everything else pretty much irrelevant.

What I meant is that it should be weird (in a good sense) to work at home. You kinda imagine that in ordinary life you go home after work and now you're already there all the time.

Yeh, I also thought about this "normal family". Maternity vacation is only 1 year here in Lithuania. After that both parents usually work, kid spends time at kindergarten and they only get to see each other in the evenings all being tired and in a hurry to sleep so they can wake up early again for the next day. How many holidays can such family have together if both parents work...

Btw, cute girl of yours. :) But brown eyes, blond hair? I have never ever seen a person with both.

1 year, wow, that is horrible. And you know, nothing is easy these days...and for example kinder gardens are full in Czech so u almost can not get your child there without some "donations" = corruption...sick...

And thx ;) I am blond (ok am gettin darker and bolder, but I was ) and have brown eyes. Not exactly brown, there are many other colors in it, weird color actually And her eyes will change, I think it takes two years for the real color to establish...

I have schedule for every day how much to play to manage the SN status, it is definitely close :)
I need on average to play about 138 sngs a day, I plan 5 days off so other days there are no excuses! I really reccomend some kind of a gola to anyone, it is great. I also feel that when I play every day it is much easier for me...when u stop playing u start being lazy and so on...now am like a machine :)

Enjoying this thread so far, and cant wait to see you hit the magical SN.

So true about getting lazy when not playing as often as you should. What do you find is the best thing to get you motivated when you site down at the computer ? What habits/routines do you follow, if any, before settling in for a session ? Whats a standard day in regards to poker ?

Keep it going mate, and good luck.

Best motivation is the goal. I am emotions free these days just making it happen. I need to know that i have 3 hours of time, I make myself a cup of coffee, fill the galss of water, maybe get some banana or some candy w/e, put the music on, I have to listen to the music, dnb, dubstep, minimal, depends...sometimes it is just a surroundings, sometimes it moves me a bit ;) I try not to chat, search the web, it takes precious time for decisions...when tables are lowered I usually go thru the web coz am starting to get bored...or I open some headsup :)
Standard day...no standard days lately, but ideal for me is wakin up at 11am, I am sooo bad at the morning, I need time...I dont do breakfast, I know it is not right but after college where I stopped doing breakfasts I cant get it on, I just cant eat at the morning. So after 2 hours maybe when am with family I have a lunch, realx with some sitcom or w/e, give myself an hour and start grinding...thn I have about 3hrs break for family, sometimes I need to shop or something, I also get some dinner and start grinding - it depends on how tired I am, if I play 2hr block or 3hr...thn I relax 30mins, get some late dinner (am talking about bread/cheese/fruit...nothing big) and grind until I feel really tired - and it is about 3am...thn it was hard to just switch off and sleep but I am learning to fall asleep almost imidiately after session now ;)

i wish you get it,

i started late and now i am with 50k vpps frown

THX! Looks u started even later thn me :) 50k...maybe some hard grind 30s+

U r right, by immediately I mean like 30 mins :) Am trying to get use to watchin some sitcom or doing something relaxing when tables are droped down to 4-5, it takes sometimes few minutes sometimes half an hour till I finish em, I sometimes brush my teeth during last HU :) U know trying everything to minimaze this time between session and sleeping. but it is super hard, brain is like wrrrrr...AK, AT fold raise push blah blah...but believe me, lately I made a big progress, am probably more tired What helps a lot is that poker is more and more emotions free when I put this volume. But dreams without poker are still just a dreams lol.

I read through fmylife "funny" stories while finishing. Good thing that on Ongame average game takes less than 17min.

And before sleeping I always make plans how I can increase my volume, make more money, etc. Over and over every night. I've made countless excel spreadsheets with those calculations while laying in bed with my laptop. Next day I wake up lazy again and it goes like this forever.

Hey I just read your blog, and i have to tell its really inspireing and awesome! I wish i could have that commitment to the game... but sadly im a bit lazy :)
I also played the 15 turbo KOs for a while, and i want to ask what do you think about pLAYERsvk? I mean his ultra-loose play from the 50/100 blind level is sick, but somehow it seems profitable. I just dont see how it comes profitable call a 18bb+ resteal push with QJ or so. He will be dominated almost everytime, and he does that stuff.
