NL2 is all about quantity, and i wanna get up to NL5 soon... so back to the grind! missed my goal of hitting BR200 this weekend, but i've also decided i'm not going to put a time limit on that anymore...
@monkey0nfire, check out my ev graph for the last few days man... u take the beats and it hurts like hell, but good BRM and u can push through it... i've had the AA-KK, king on flop beat 3 times in the last few days...

Yeh i think outta the ~5k hands...bout 10 times AI pre-flop with AA has lost...vs KK mostly, 1x QQ, 1x AT and 1x TT
..Im pretty sure when ive pushed AI with AA I havnt won...haha

i was 4 tabling NL5 BSS, and i thinking i was stupid doing this as mebe i was punching above my weight..after the recent losses my BR has dipped just below $100.. so im 9-tabling NL2... had a 1k session last nite..up $3..i tell ya the limpers come in droves to the NL2 tables!!
I think u have it nailed with the $200 to move up to NL5..so im gonna follow suit 
Id definetly be keen for some sweat sessions of, i guess NL2.. in a week or 2 coz ive got exams..dunno y im even playing poker atm lol!
As for your graphs and hand converters etc.. what do u use? I cant seem to find my hand history for pokerstars and elephant isnt tracking it!
So I havnt bn running with stats atm...but 9-tabling and at NL2 i dont think id really need to, as play is pretty standard.

and stats help even at NL2... u can spot the regs running at stats like 8/2, get out of the way of their raise if your holding say AQo, whereas that might be a spot where i'll put my stack in pre against someone running at 80/50

Ok... it's been a while since I updated my blog, sorry about that... Work commitments amongst other things have left me with less time to play...
So where were we... last time i blogged I was crushing NL2 with an iron fist, working towards my BR goal of BR$200 to move up to BSS NL5... well, that kinda didn't go as i'd planned...
I found that at NL5, i needed to pay more attention per table than i did at NL2, therefore had to drop back to 12 tables... and started getting bored... so after about 5k hands, i really wasn't enjoying NL5 as much as i was enjoying NL2... so i figured i needed to find a way to start enjoying poker more.
as i stated at the start of my blog, i am an avid PLO player and love the game... i've also dabbled in PLO/8, o/8, LHE and other games from time to time...
over the past weekend, i decided to put my NLHE world domination plans on hold, and go back to what i enjoy... so i fired up some PLO/8 6max on party and full tilt... the result?

yeah, thats a profit of almost $100 USD in a single weekend! was done playing PLO/8 6max $10 and $25 (only played the $25 when there were no good $10 tables)
not sure how many hands this was over, was 4 tabling for about 10 hours total... what HUD software is best for PLO/8?
next, lets review my original goals from my first post (16 Oct 09):
Bankroll: $129.89 (Full Tilt)
well, bankroll is roughly 3x what it was back then, i'm very proud of this, considering i've had horrible BRM in the past
I will move up in limits when I have at least 40 BI at that level, and will move back down to the lower level if i have less than 25 BI for the higher level
this worked well for me with NLHE FR, but i think i'll be able to play a little less conservative with PLO/8 (maybe change that to 30BI/20BI)
Currently Playing: NL2 BSS (12 tables at home, 9 at office)
as i said earlier, i was playing alot of tables, playing ABC poker, which, while an effective strategy, was boring me in the end, especially when i realised i'd have to drop down tables more and more as i moved up limits. i have no doubt in my abilities to crush NLHE, and might consider moving back to NLHE at some point in the future, possibly even HU or SH...

New Goals as at 7 Dec 2009
Play PLO/8 6max $10 (Mostly on Full Tilt, i've got a $100 Bonus there to clear in a month, after thats out of the way i might re-evaluate what site to play on, maybe move some of my roll to stars to access the omaha articles on here)
Due to the lower expected variance for me at PLO/8, i'm going to adjust my BR rules slightly to allow myself to play at PLO/8 $10... so new BR rules:
I will move up in limits when I have at least 40 BI at that level, and will move back down to the lower level if i have less than 25 BI for the higher level
However! I will allow myself to play at PLO/8 $10 for now with my 30BI roll... if my roll drops below 20BI ($200), i will move back down to PLO/8 $5
i'm currently using PokerTracker 3, need to find out what the best HUD/Trackng software is for PLO/8 and move over to that... i've heard alot of players like HEM, does that do PLO/8? or should i look at pokertracker omaha?

dropped $150 in a live NL100 game last night... blinds were 1/1 with a $10 Live Straddle, basiclly giving u 10BB... i tried to play a SSS strategy, but the problem is the rule they have on rebuying, basically after the first buy in, you can rebuy for as much as u want, so there are guys there who will rebuy to cover any stack on the table, and keep doing it until they get lucky...
hand i got felted on, $10 live straddle, i have AKo in SB, make it $42 to go (started the hand with about $120), 3 callers, flop K83, i open shove, get called by K8 who holds, FML
came home, tilted off $12 in 2x $6 Double or nothing sng's, QQ cracked, then AA cracked... not a fucking good night for poker... grrrrrrrr
