first step is realizing tilt
the rest is easy
I had the last cigarette of the pack sometimes just before lunch and decided not to buy any. I had a few puffs this afternoon off a collegue's cigarette and that was it.
I decided to add to my already fragile mindset by not smoking tonight. I wasn't going to push it but at least to give it a good try. I only started craving not too long ago and the shop downstairs is now closed and I CBA walking or driving to an open shop.
I'll just go to sleep and will feel fresher in the morning... If i manage to stand tomorrow as well it shouldn't be too hard to keep clean until my weekend in France... then all hell will break loose.
I played one longish session uninterrupted by cigarette breaks and feel like played really well. Got good value for my big hands and lost a minimum I think for my failed bluffs. I finished in profit (closed to what I had lost last night :), but not quite). I played mostly NL50 as the NL25 tables were just full and not getting free (3 NL50 and 1 NL25 most of the evening)
by the way here is the link to the video of my game been reviewed by Manu and TT during Sunday's MPC

Thought you played 100% better this time round. I disagreed with a couple of plays versus fishies but then I often do coz I'm old, so there.
Much more methodical planning in the hands, much more adapting to circumstances/dynamics etc., much calmer demeanour and a much better player for it all. ♠_cool:
Really good to watch, ty.
Onwards and upwards it is then...
I have held today and did not succumbed to the temptation of a cigarette. I am craving a bit but it will just get easier. Tomorrow might be hard but then it should be fine for the rest of the weekend.
I am not working on Monday, so I might play some tournaments on Sunday and since JB refused to watch my video review last Sunday I won't feel too bad if I have to miss his
The goal today as every day is to keep a good mindset and play my A-game throughout my session.

that's how I felt last Sunday
I am off to Plymouth for the weekend right after work. won't be playing much poker nor be online much
some more real life bad beats today...
everything seems very gloom... I might have to cancel my trip to France and I am not happy.
The lack of cigarette really gets me close to tears atm. I feel a complete lack of motivation.
I will have some thoughts over the weekend on how to approach and deal with the current situation and get on as it's the only thing that we can do unfortunately.
I don't intend to be much online next week.
to top the bad run I made a terrible play and put petrol in the diesel car
I had to call a fuel recovery service and that set me off a further £250 ($400) FML!
But just made it back to Plymouth. and gonna enjoy the weekend with the family.
I probably will end up withdrawing most of my roll to cover all the expenses that have come up today and the last few days.
I am playing a few tournaments tonight
Double Deuce (although that was a short one for me tonight)
Bigger 11
Storm
and SM
along with a few 180s ($4.50) and only one of those is remaining
one time
cashed small in the storm (JJ < A3s AI pre for a very good size stack)
finished 4th in one of the 180s for $54
and still in the SM 663/1810 - 990 paid
I have withdrawn 80% of my roll on PKR to pay for a few things and hopefully be able to afford that trip to France next weekend... so I guess it's back to NL10
I'd better get to nl25 quick then, at least I'll be out of your firing line for a week or so.
I hope you get to go on the trip and have fun there.
I am about to leave for Bristol 120 Miles drive (200km) with my car stopping about every 2 miles (3km) atm
.... this should be fun
