Made the same as you $88 exactly, I thought about grinding some sitngos but I already have a bank roll on stars so I sold them and got $85 for them, better than the $50 I could get from stars.

no worries man! Glad to hear you were successful too. I found those 6 max ones really hard, was that the 300 chips rebuy hypers or another variation? I think if you can afford the 210 FPP ones, the softest by far are the 20 man 6 seats satellites.
I thought about selling my T$ too and just getting on with SSS or something, but I figured that takes away a bit from the whole 'challenge' idea. Although I have no real set rules from here on in, the challenge itself was to build a bankroll using what I had remaining of FPP's and that so far is exactly what i've done ♦
No it was the 6 seater to the 1/4 mill starting with 500 chips, you need just over 1200 to cash id say, third gets his fpp's back, you just need good icm I guess, one thing I have always been good at.

Days 6 & 7 - backwards not forwards
Thanks guys, i must admit to having a bad day on wednesday so I didn't really post anything, cus i'd have just been coming on here to moan basically! I had a go at some sit n go's and annoyingly ended up +$0.60 for a good hour and a half's work, not what i'm after to be honest! That was the 9 man $1.20 ones (20% rake is just a killer at this level! yuk yuk). I also treated myself to a rebuy event, in which I spent far too much of my bankroll (it's rare for me to play outside of BRM, but the amount of rebuys I eventually had certainly was a little naughty. Won't be doing this again in a hurry!!) So, I went down to around $80. So enough was enough, yesterday back onto the heads up sit n go's for my A game. I've grind back upto happier $99.60 for the roll. So now its onwards and upwards, no more wasting time being silly! It's slow progress though at the 2.20 HU. So i'm playing 4 at a time, which is a bit hectic but i have a 66% win rate, and 20.32% ROI after 68 so far. I'll be happy to keep this up, it begins to look much nice when its the $10 HU of course. Long way to go yet. ♦
Day 8 - In the green stuff
I say green, cus that's how it shows up when in profit on the tracker programs! Not that I use one for sit n go's but anyway! I do however keep track of everything I play in an excel document, which works out nicely.
I'm back on track for sure now on this the 8th day of play. I've probably been doing this challenge for more like 10-11 days now however, I haven't played every single day! Since my last post earlier today, i'm now upto 90 HU macthes, and my profit from these has hit $50. Shame I had to ruin it and play that rebuy tourny and waste a lot, but my bankroll has now hit an all-time high for the challenge, so i'm happy with that.

Day 8 - Steady, back on top
Didn't get too much in the way of volume done yesterday, and with my heads up matches it just seemed like my opponents were hitting absolutely everything and of course, I was not! So I made real steady progress on that and my Win rate and ROI % has probably taken a small knock since the last time I reported back. I'd really like to build the bankroll to a high enough degree so I can play the $5 Heads Up SNG's because the margins are so small on the $2 it takes a real lot of time and effort to see that BR grow, but hey i'm impatient like that! Instant success is not always possible, especially with poker, or at least it comes with a price.
As it was Saturday night I decided to treat myself to something different, I stayed in to save money and so with a beer in hand I decided to tackle a few MTT SNG's, I played a 90 man, a 45 man and two 27 man just really to get a feel for them. The 90 man lasted nearly 3 and a half hours, don't think i'll be playing these again in a hurry! I manged to take 7th place though, and got a few dollars. I came 4th and 5th in the 27 man ones, and unfortunately just missed out on a clean sweep of cash finishes, coming in 10th in the 45 man. But I was fairly pleased with my performances here.
Going into Sunday which is Day 9 of play for the challenge my bankroll stands at a nice $122.45 - The cash wins in the multi tables eased the blow of the poor performance in the HU and carried me through the day in profit! However small it is, I have to be pleased to be back on the up after having slipped to $80 just a few days ago.
Day 9 - Cashing in
At last on Day 9 all of my T$ had been finally translated into good old cash, so that meant that I could really up my win rate (or hopefully!) by moving onto my more preferred territory of cash game. In a bid to bump back up those FPP's I played a solid hour non-stop of the SSS at NL10. Just a bit of a side challenge to see how many hands I could play in one hour, I managed a cool 1065, for a $4.50 profit. The SSS can be so tough on the mind as well as the bankroll at times! But I was happy to end a session where i'd been 24 tabling at one point in the green, because with so many tables this is not always the case! But the FPP balance is slowly rising again - and that was my plan. I now have over 280, which is enough to do battle in another satellite, however, i'm going to wait until I have enough to play in at least 3.
So the second part of my day was evening play, and I decided to play some 6 max NL5 BSS, was slightly underolled for this at around 25 BI's when I started, but from past experience this has usually been plenty enough. The evening ended well scoring a profit of around $24. Although i've been skipping through a few different game variations, I am still very much tracking everything I do, and I will settle on something specific once I reach a roll i'm happy with. Hopefully that won't be too far away!

Days 10 & 11 - Slowly building
Day 10 was all about the 6 max again, finding it quite tough to crack a profit here though, and managed to eek out another small margin, something like $4, was playing 4 tables again, some of the play is so bad it's just great, but you get caught out a lot here. I increased my roll to around $150 and ended the day happy if not ecstatic.
Day 11 is today - Tuesday. I'm happy enough with 40 ish buy ins that I can resume my Sit N Go's, so im onto the $3.40's (9 max) which is more where I feel happiest. Terrible play, and enough profit. I haven't given up totally on Heads Up either, I shall go back to those when my BR is more suited to the $5.50 and above. Hopefully won't be long! I've ran fairly well this morning in my first 10 attempts. The stats for $3.40 are;

The second one is just brilliant, the guy i was playing was a complete donk and this was the first time he'd flipped something genuine, crazy stuff can happen heads up.

Just got myself upto the 300 FPP mark, and tried my hand at one of these, and I cashed, very easy and very quick, only had 1 really dicey situation, but that was with 3 left, so whatever happened i was was walking away with the FPP's intact. I'll definitely give these plenty of attention when I get more FPP's. I'll do a proper days round up in a little while, but for now my bankroll stands at it's highest so far during the challenge, and that is now $193.17 ♦
Days 12 & 13 - A lot of badluck but still ahead
Day 12 (Wednesday)
saw me cash some more T$ which was very nice, and kept me in profit for the day, played around 2000 hands cash at NL5 and in the end broke even, after some scary beats drop kicked me like $26 down at one point! I was extremely happy to claw my way back up, played til like 1am, and with the satellite cash, I was up around 11 bucks for the day. I went to be happy with that!
Day 13 (Thursday)
I finished off my set of 10 $3.40 SnG's first thing, I cashed in 5 of them despite running so badly, I got sucked out on like every hand! None of were of real interest at the time, so I don't have any to show, but needless to say, everytime I got KK, guarenteed somebody hit an ace on the flop! My 5 cashes consisted as a result of 3 third places which was a shame, my profit would have been much higher if I could have turned these into wins. I did win one however, and also claimed a 2nd. Happy enough with these.
The rest of the day has been dedicated to my Heads Up SNG's again (no cash game today, it can get rather weary and depressing breakeven over 2000 hands - i've had much more in the past too.) Been running fairly well in the heads up adventure, again despite some opponents having the poker gods firmly smiling down on them! 17 played 12 wins though is impressive return, shame its the $2.20 level. But i'm not far off being able to play the $5.50 ones. Maybe in less than a weeks time if things go my way!
quick edit to say ive just cashed in another sunday 1/4 million satellite, so thats another $11 in T$ for me. Happy days, my BR has exceeded $200 for the first time since the challenge began

I'd didn't play a lot over the weekend, due to work commitments and various other bits and bobs. I'm a DJ so, weekends is my busiest times. Friday night is a no play zone as far as poker is concerned. I did manage to play a few heads up SNG's and that's about it really as far as this weekend went with poker. The bankroll is still on the up which is great news, feeling really confident about my game right now, and looking forward to the week ahead instead of keeping track of the 'days' of the challenge. I will now commence posts with 'week 2' or 'week 3' and so forth. Just to see really how much I've come on in the weeks of the challenge.
I'd like to point out that I still have not deposited a cent of extra money and all of my returns are simply from the original stash of player points I started with. So i'm pretty happy with the way it's going.

Week 3 - The challenge continues...
I'll recap my day and stats and such later on, the above post was really just to talk about the weekend's play. However small it was.
week 3 is going fairly slowly, I peaked at around $240 a couple of days ago, and have slowly whittled that away, trying to get back up now! I've never sunk below $200 in this time though, which is a relief. I tried my hand at some DoN's to see how the win rate compared to heads up - as I figured it was a similar sort of end result, doubling money etc, but figured I could play more in an hour thus increasing FPP accumulation as well as hopefully profits - I was wrong, kind of, after playing 100, mainly the $5.25 ones, a mix of turbo and non turbo, and a few sets of the cheap ones $1.10 to get a feel for it. My win rate was severely compromised by some bad luck, bad play, and bad bad players. I ended after a 100 a mere $7 up or something ridiculous and insignificant! Needless to say I probably won't be trying those again in a hurry.
All the time ive been playing also the odd HU SNG as is my main source of income at present. But ive been running a little dry on those too.
I've managed to have myself a full morning of poker today, put in a good few hours at the tables. So i'm playing NL5 BSS today. $21 is my profit so far, so i'm on the way back up thankfully. Taken a few hounding's here though too!

what's the reverse of running god-like? Talk about a doom switch on me today, false sense of security time! Playing the $3.40 SNG's and had a good morning of around +$30, and then this afternoon, already after playing what i'm considering very good a-game poker with just a few minor mistakes im on a $60 downer! Poker is a wonderful game, but can be so cruel at times!! Getting in with the best 90% of the time, whilst playing quite aggressive, so thats a good turn around, and just getting donked off everytime, AK losing to the usual AQ, AJ, I watched a video on here the other day saying not to moan about the 3 outers, and yes, whilst we know its the bad players that make the game profitable. It is sure hard to deal with when it comes in the wave of variance!

BR taken a damaging hit, down under the $200 for the first time in days, $178 is where I stand!
I've built a bankroll on Stars from $20 to 650... then lend to a friend $350, and tilt away the other $300 down to $0.00 with a few hundred FPP's left and rebuilt it back $1k, and also build the starting capital in Party from $50 to $285, and every time it's been fun 
It makes you feel so proud knowing you went from a very low (or nothing) amount to more than $200 bucks..
I bet you feel proud going from 0.00 to $179! Its a great feeling.

yes it does feel good, knowing not a cent of it at risk is mine. Still following strict BRM though. My peak was $240 since I started doing this, so abit annoyed to have slipped back down under $200! but it happens to us all. Hopefully i'll be back to winning ways very soon.
Week 4 - trying to get over the next hurdle
Well it seems like forever that i've been stuck around the $200 mark, which is why this week's aim is to get over this hurdle. I've been up at $240 (highest point), and back down to $178, (lowest point) so it's been a swingy week. The bright side is, im nearly a month into the challenge, and from absolutely nothing ive produced a comfortable playing bankroll. I must stick with this thought through any bad down times.
I think I have been darting around with a lot of variants of poker in the last week or so, I don't think it is this alone which has had an adverse affect on my winnings, however, it can't have helped! I'm somewhat of a poker schizo it would seem. I think my foray into Double or Nothing's is now over, find these really annoying. Turbo SNG's are far too swingy, although I do believe I play these quite well, I just got a severe case of variance kicking me in the backside on Friday and it's really put me off these. I take solace from the fact that even in the strategy videos, a couple I watched where the guys ran really badly despite playing well - so it happens to the best of us.
Overall something I know to be true is, the SSS is by far and away the best option at increasing the FPP count, whilst being stable enough to not feel like one bad day at the tables will cripple my account. I played a small portion of hands over the weekend, firstly on NL10 to get my feel for it back, and then on NL25 yesterday, around 2k hands and managed to eek a steady $10 is profit, whilst accumlating a nice amount of FPP. I should add that at this point, the SSS was my original game and I'd like to think i'm fairly adept at playing it. So it's not just a jump to move back to this. I'm also looking over my shoulder a little with nearly half the month gone on my silverstatus, but with the SSS i should comfortably achieve this for another month.
I've just played another Sunday 1/4 Million satellite, and of course - i cashed ♦ so another $11 in T$ is banked in the account. Just to stay true in someway to the original purpose of the challenge and blog.
Week 4 targets
As a final note i'd like to say that I read about a free HUD in another blog somewhere and tried it out. I absolutely love it. The HUD in question is Real Time HUD, and unlike Elephant it doesn't cripple my CPU and can still run plenty of tables. Very easy to use, useful, and best thing of all it's free. Still gonna be using Elephant for my graphs and the like though, so I get the best of both world's whilst playing.
