Pretty swingy last few days, had a -10BI -3BI then +10BI days to make me break even $ wise over 3 days. On the -10BI day I switched to nl5 after losing 5BI as I was running terrible and felt like this stopped me playing A game, which it must have since I lost another 5BI at nl5. I think its a good solution for me, dropping down on bad days even when bankroll doesn't dictate it. Usually if I lose more than 3BI, I don't usually turn it around. I dunno if its tilt that I'm not noticing, or if I just have a high-variance style (when I win more than 3BI early on it usually will be 7+BI day) that results in bigger swings. Who knows.

Have a fish at nl10 who is pretty pissed off at me which is hilarious, he is playing about 70VPIP 55 PFR and telling me "you are one of the worst poker players I have ever seen" "just horrible", unlike most people in zoom I love a good chatboxing so have been playing around with him like "my mum says I'm good at poker though". Unfortunately since he is 1tabling I don't see him that often. :f_frown:

Not close to moving up to nl25 bankroll wise, so atm its just about getting rid of leaks, making big folds vs nits etc and not so big folds vs passive fish and generally grinding on.

Wonder if this is -EV or not to fold KK vs 5bet (first time I folded it pre and not deep). Both are regs leaning towards nitty side

They are both repping monsters so I am a bit worried calling off so much, but I can hand read well and put them both on worse hands which thankfully enabled me to make the right read and call it off.

Playing a live pub poker donkament yesterday and two guys almost got in a fight over nothing lol. One of them called the other one an idiot for calling with ace high and it escalated from there hahaha.

About 22BI away from being able to move up to NL25, I feel game-wise I am ready but it can't hurt to win another 20BI at NL10 first.

Bit of a setback day, happy w how I played but stacked 3x in first 300 hands by 2 outers, then get it in with AA vs J9 on KQx fish hits T obv, pretty infuriating and just never won a big pot the whole day so after the bullshit and the blinds down 7BI.

Drop to NL5 as a kind of stoploss, more of the same:

Got a free Gold status from PokerStrategy for discussion in hand evals, so big thanks to the team.

It's a real shame my PS account isn't tracked though, I think I'd get Gold/Platinum most months :f_frown:

Currently 1/4 in $11 MTT, w 550 for first and 208 for 4th, so pretty stoked no matter the result. Have about 2x second place's chips.

Ended up 3rd for $300 after losing a huge flip w FD+bottom pair vs TPNK (he gets it in w 97o on 736cc pretty bad vs my range imo), jamming an oesd over a flop donkbet and getting called by 2nd pair shit kicker (wtf????) and AJs<AKs all vs the same guy who obv won when running like this.

Cheers mal, also I noticed you are doing pretty much the same thing I did at the start of the blog (I had a downswing then started the blog when my BR was very low, and dipped to just $15 at one point).

At the time I felt pretty crushed but its been maybe 3 months and the BR is now looking very healthy so you never know what good luck can be waiting around the corner!

So make sure you don't give up no matter how little is in the cashier!

My mission now is to be patient with nl10 rather than donk away stacks at nl25 just because I am rolled for it. (have done this way too much in the past at both nl25 zoom and nl50 normal tables)

Following loldonkamentbink, BR was at 830, but made a withdrawal to put BR at 550 since I need to play more at nl10 before moving up I think. Maybe will get a new monitor or something nice. :f_biggrin:
