Average is 100 at the moment, but I am stepping it up considerably. I had weekly plans on Wednesday's but I have cancelled that now leaving me with 16/20 hours extra per month. I've played 80 already in September. I also study up to 25 hours a month.
What you are playing
NL2 FR (since early Aug) but am close to taking shots at NL4.
Short history of what you have played/how long you've played poker
Been playing over a year regularly but spent a lot of time playing Limit and NL SNG's. Started cash games in August and am finding it suits me a lot better than SNG's.
How you think you will benefit from this
I already am dedicated to studying and I learn the concepts put in front of me. I will be able to pick up things a lot quicker with someone showing me (I was given some advice by vonki the other day in my blog which I understood straight away, it's definitely easier for me to learn this way). I also feel that silly mistakes I know I shouldn't be making is a downfall of mine and if I have to report back to you guys, it will always be in my head when I play, so I will make less mistakes as having to admit you've made loads of donk moves is not a great feeling and that would definitely drive me to make the correct move. I am already proving this point by keeping my blog updated, since then I have had a great run.
What your longterm goal in poker is
To support my lifestyle with poker winnings - to play pro.
Why we should pick you!
I'm very dedicated and driven. If you were my mentors, you wouldn't have to encourage me to play. I put in a lot of hands, about 2000-2500 a day at the moment due to 10 tabling and that won't be changing anytime soon (well it will when I can add more tables, it'll go up!). I am going to succeed in my goals and if I have 2 mentors who have already been/going there, I'm sure I'll get there faster! ♦
All I can say is wow. There is alot more applications coming in than myself or Wriggers ever expected. 
We are very happy to see so many of you being very keen and dedicated to learn! Because of the high amount of applications so far, we have 2 things to announce:
1) There will be a deadline for applications. We have alot of good ones already, and would like to get started ASAP. We apologize to anyone who won't get the chance to apply. The deadline will be 00:00 CET tonight, so 3 hours and 40 minutes from now.
2) We have decided to take on 2 students instead of 1. You'll be able to help each other out when we're not around/don't have time, and help each other study/whatnot. Whenever we're sweating/helping one of you, the other can tag along and we get to help 2 for the price of 1. We feel bad about having to turn so many of you down, that we decided to at least take on 1 more.

Hi there,
My name is Manuel and I am 21 years old. I live in Darmstadt / Germany for 2 months now and I am a full time Student in major plastics technology. Since Full Tilt Poker closed down I stopped playing poker for a while now because my whole bankroll was deposited there. But a point to mention is that I am determined to put my heart and commitment to the game at any time besides my study - so I have no problems in spending a couple of hours in poker a day. My regular limit, where I feel comfortable, is NLHE 10 SH.
In the beginning I started playing at NL5 & NL10 FR. I never used programs like HM or Pokertracker but I felt fine (meanwhile I do so :]). After playing a while those stakes I decided to switch from FR to SH because my game loosed up and the SH games are more profitable than the FR games. It worked very well until I reached NL25 SH. In the first session on NL25 I burned 147$ and further sessions proceeded similar.
I draft this application because I really want to crush NL25 SH and further limits. Neither you (Vonki) nor Wriggers will be disappointed about my progress I am going to pass with the help of you two and I just want to have a good time for a while. Furthermore I think the readiness to learn will be improved by a group of two or three and it prepares a lot more fun to play poker and talking after a session about the hands that where played.
The goal I am trying to reach is playing independent on NL100 or NL200 and maybe supporting other players on lower stakes to improve their game and beating the micro stakes. Additionally it’s never wrong to be good in sports 
Last but not least I hope you both are going to pick me because I always give one-hundred percent in things I am interested in – and poker is one of them. I am looking for a fresh start in poker and it’s easier when you guys keep a wary eye on me (And I loved all parts of pink performence ♦)

Deadline has expired and we have chosen the 2 persons we'll be mentoring. Overall alot of very good applications and I'm truly sorry about not being to help out more of you but there's only so much time we can sacrifice for this.

We want to thank everyone for the interest they have shown and hope you stick around, there will be a blog up and running shortly where the "chosen ones" will be updating on what they've learnt, posting hands etc for all to take part of.

Went on monstertilt, decided to gamble with my PartyPoker bankroll so sat down on a NL600 table and played some orbits.
Really? No. But I did play NL600!
The famous scout was playing, so TwiceT staked me for the game. Quite frightning at first, but oh so exciting! Image my surprise when I first move the betslider and it jumps to $18 when I want to raise my first hand 
Because of the excitement and the fact its nitring, I ended up being kinda spewy. Stats of 37/27 with 7% 3b or something. Wasn't my money anyway heheh so I figured it didnt matter much

On a serious note it was quite frightning at first, but kept my cool and didn't really spew at all Picked up some nice hands, and played quite good I think. Didn't have time to panic/freak out/be scared, was busy making a plan of how to play what hands and against who. Will post some more hands just for bragging purpose. 
Should have raised 88 bigger, but damn speedtable lol. Had to either raise small or timeout and fold.
