btw I had a marvelous evening playing with 3pros who played main event and all the other people sitting at the table were warm and chatty. It was a lot of fun and very nice active play full of light 3bets and aggresive action. Really enjoyed that and liked the people - almost feel sorry to collect 3bis from them ♠_confused:

Kk, so here i am w sicko highstakes experience

I had wonderful evening yday, at 8 we had reservation in the best steak house in Prague w my friends, where we(me n jq) wanted to tell them we r actually moving to Philippines in January.

Eventho we had to wait for our steaks almost 2 hours it was worth every minute.. I ve never eaten such thing(I never thought steak can get any better than Sizzler's New York).. It was so awesome..

Obv, being it me n jq, we didnt find the strenght to tell them, so after the dinner i quit for Ept, letting JQ carry the burden on the way home(He actually managed to tell them in the car-which tbh I dint expect, but and superhappy he did it :f_biggrin:)

EPT shit!

When i came in i was surprised by how many ppl are playing, there were like 15 talbes, lots of ppl had glasses n headphones, so was bit scared that it might actually not be so soft..

Then i went ahead, chatted w Cornie for a bit(nice to meet you sir!), watched him play, grew balls exchanged 10k czk(wtf omg, so much money) and sit down at table w 3 older drinking whiskey guys, one Isralibussinessman, one ~60yo german bussinessman and two russian pros.. a while after me some 50bb fish sat down on my left.. and then the blinds got to me.. I posted my blind.. sick.. 100czk.. ♦

I was rly glad to see 82o, so I felt im not gonna lose my stack the first hand..
5 ppl limped so we saw family pot 6way.. it came down 2K8(wtf).. i led out for 500, the 50bb fished raised to 1200, everyone folded I put him all in, he cals KJ and i hold..(unfo after this hand -his first one- he left)..

Several hands later I c/folded my set on river vs the Israeli guy.(online i d most like b/fold it, cuz there were many two pair possibilities, but also 4c str8 and flush).. felt happ tho where he said im hero to fold set and showed me str8flush.. fml

Then i missed some value out of my str8 when i though this agrro german guy is full of shit n gonna try to bluff me on the river.. unfo he ch beh his twopair.. fml again..

Anyways. I felt I could beat them, but felt too much concerned abt the money on the table. So, after the biggest fish left n some seemingly good player bringing like 80k sat down, I knew my time has come, so I left ♦

played like 1h20mins or so, won 200 bucks, and felt rly good abt the exp

Im rly looking for Macau action where I ll b able to play stakes I ll feel more confident playing.

Yeah! one more thing. I saw Thorsten77.. and I felt rly proud i knew who he is

Yeah, it is better to value bet always if you have a hand. People are incredibly loose there and call with many weaker hands. And most of them play slightly scared money so check/raise lines does not pay so much from what I learned there in 2 days.

Btw I also met Thorsten and some other people, definitely very enlightening experience to play poker in such a poker atmosphere and environment ♠_cool:

BTW I also played very scared money in one hand yesterday.

I was at very active table with aggressive history preflop - I have approx 3 times light 3bet/folded and even once cold4bet/folded preflop, though it worked out many times as well ♦ So it was quite heavy action, other people played very active as well, like ATo was a must to isolation or squeeze 3bet etc.

And then it happened that the hand was like UTG limp, MP1 open raise 400, one call 400, CO 3bet 1750 and I checked my cards to see the ROCKETS in situation where both me and 3bettor (who was a pro from main event, who played pretty actively and he knew I am quite active as well) had like 40k in stack ♦ ♦

So I made some pointless speach like he is raising it light again and I have a strong hand now so I have to raise him, everybody laughing and I raise him 4250 with a shitty inner feeling that he will call me w pocket pair and bust my 40,000 CZK stack, i.e. aprox 2100$ with hit set on flop (I have seen this in my dreams ). So I was hoping that he shoves his kings, I call it and agree with him to roll it 3times or 4 times.. I was only hoping that he is not calling and no bloody T, J, Q or K hits the board.. The only flop I was willing to play comfortably would be something like AAx or A95 rainbow..

Well, ofc he called and flop came

so after several "WTF, WTF" I told to myself silently I realized that I only have to resist the feeling to protect my hand vs flush draw ♦ So I checked and he checked, which I noted with a slight relief, though with around 9,500 in the pot and my 35k behind, it still smelled that I can still lose all my stack. At least I made an assumption that he prly does not have a set KK or TT as he would value bet / protect it against AQ, FD, AK or whatever.

So I breathed deeply and with a shaking grin watched the asian dealer to give us a turn and only kept telling to myself "oh, my, bro - please don´t put there J or Q" and he unerringly put there a J :diamond:.

I insta knocked the table with my palm and looked at the opponent knowing he now can have AQ, JJ beating me and imagined myself to walk home without my trousers only in the pants pennyless to afford taxi while it is freezing outside and its 5km to go home via night-Prague.

He naturelly betted 5k and I tanked a bit knowing that I still should call vs his AK, AJ, flush draw etc but wanted to give him a feelin´ that I am considering fold so that he (i) can bluff on river as I will definitely be on a C/C mode on river and (ii) he bets smaller with his value range as I did not look that strong.

River was blank. I checked, he checked. He showed AcJc, I SELFCONFIDENTLY ♦ turned my rockets face up and blinked an eye on him while he was saying "Of course, that is what I put you on!", I told some crap like I wanted to pot control or so and the evening moved on with some more easy going fun again

EDIT no. 9: I played the hand wrongly due to scared money but as it developed it actually maximalized the value against his hand - pretty standard.

I have negative wave as well, 5stacks below EV in 500 hands and some set ups made me really tilted ♦ I have to read Poker Mindset as I really feel it´s rigged and somebody just pushed the button to make me suffer (or make Czech grinders suffer).

i dont know y u guys r complaining. Rush 25/50 (especially FR) is super easy game.
gry: U could always 8 table 50 and 100 Rush rather than moving up to 200 if u want.

You simply cant get it always in with AA preflop.. You will have tough decisions postflop and sometimes, there will be no other choice left than to let go..
