Street Poker

Street Poker is a synonym for 5-Card Stud. It is played by 2-10 players over up to four betting rounds.

At the beginning of each hand, every player posts an ante (a minimum bet) and receives a downcard as well as an upcard.

At the beginning of the first betting round, the player with the lowest ranking upcard begins by betting the so-called bring-in, the size of which is determined by the antes. However, this player also has the option of raising the bring-in right away. If two players have two equally ranked low cards, suit rankings (clubs, diamonds, hearts, spades) determine which player has to pay the bring-in. The player left to the bring-in proceeds with the betting and can choose between calling, folding or raising.

After the first betting round is complete, each remaining player is dealt another face-up card. The player with the highest combination of upcards opens the betting round.

The second, third and fourth betting rounds follow the same pattern. At the end of the fourth betting round, each remaining player has one downcard and four upcards in front of him.

Showdown:

The final betting round is followed by the showdown. The ranking of hands is the same as in Texas Hold'em. The lowest ranking hand is a high card, the strongest is a royal flush.
