$5k in under 20 weeks - easy!
BadBojo went from $1k to $5k in less than half a year. Here, he tells us all about his motivations, strategies and life away from the tables.

Last time we told you about samni who crushed an MTT following a two-year break from the game.
This week we bring you news of another successful bankroll challenge as badbojo, a member of our Bulgarian community, took just 19 weeks to turn $1K into $5k before finding the time to speak to us about it.
Congratulations on finishing you BR challenge so quickly and taking just 19 weeks to go from $1,000 to $5,000. How many tables did you have open in order to play an average of over 1,200 hands a day?
badbojo: Thank you. I was playing mainly 3 or 4 zoom tables depending on my mood at the time. During the challenge, I only played 70 days in total so I really didnt give myself a hard time.
"I always try to concentrate 100% while I'm playing and rarely tilt"
How did you keep such an impressive average of 4BB/100 when playing so much?
badbojo: I always try to concentrate 100% while I'm playing and rarely tilt.

Your main stakes in the challenge were NL50 Zoom. Many PokerStrategists would consider this a difficult stake. What is your secret to crushing NL50 Zoom for 4BB/100?
badbojo: I wouldn't consider myself crushing the limit but I do think that 3bb to 5bb at NL50 Zoom is achievable by anyone with a solid mind set and strong fundamentals.
"The average person at NL50 doesn't bluff enough"
If a player wanted to move to NL50, what tips could you give him that would make his life easier:
badbojo:
- What is the most common leak at NL50?
- Which exploit makes you the most money?
- Which preflop strategy works best?
- Overfolding Vs turn and river raises
People don't fold enough on the river and always try to justify their actions. Occasionally I find myself making the same mistake, but in reality the average person at NL50 doesn't bluff enough. Also, preflop strategies can be very complex. Mine is very simple; don't 3-bet trash hands against people who don't fold, steal wide from the button and SB while defending my BB wide.

You have effectively won more than $4,000 in a very short space of time, so what comes next - living the high life and partying or investing it and stepping up a limit?
badbojo: I am trying to move up in stakes.
Taking a step back, how did you start your poker career and, with the BR challenge, how did you motivate yourself to move up to NL50?
badbojo: At the beginning of 2011 I was watching a televised live poker tournament and instantly fell in love with the game. Before then I had no idea what poker was all about and considered it to be regular gambling. When I realised this wasn't the case, I called a friend who played online poker occasionally and asked him about the rules. He told me that there were poker schools out there, so I Googled some and found PokerStrategy.com.
I learnt the rules and registered with a lot of sites and played freerolls to learn the game. I don't remember why I didn't take the free money options at PokerStrategy but, either way, I registered at PokerStars and Full Tilt through PokerStrategy's links and just started playing.
Soon after, I deposited $20 and started playing the micros, while watching every video and reading every article I could find. By the end of 2011, I was playing NL100 regularly. Since then, I have been playing NL50 and NL100 for the most part, withdrawing my winnings at the end of each month. Unfortunately, at the end of 2015, variance hit me really hard and I lost most of my bankroll, which inspired me to use the bankroll challenge to motivate myself and move up through the stakes.
"I didn’t know about poker, then I found PokerStrategy.com"
What does BadBojo like to away from Poker to relax from the stress on the tables?
badbojo: I like to spend time with my girlfriend, watch movies, play video games and sports and, last but not least, drink beer.
Thank you, and in response to your last reply, cheers!
