An MTT team is in creation since this week, as a PokerStrategist i5bet72o came up with an idea to forge an alliance between fellow PokerStrategists to conquer the MTTs with less trouble and more profit for all of them. Meanwhile, MathhNes has decided it's his time to shine and logically, the time to start a blog!

Hot Poker Thread of the Week
Penguins have long ago discovered that their best chance of survival lies in sticking together in as large numbers as possible - if you want to stand out in the cold by yourself, suit yourself. Poker world can be pretty cold as well and especially when you play MTTs, long-awaited cashes can become really looong-awaited.
With that on his mind, i5bet72o opened a thread on MTT teams this week in our newly opened Staking section of the forum. The intention of his thread is to find players willing to invest their money into a certain amount of tournaments every Sundy and then split the profits equally among themselves, disregarding individual success.
Obviously, as in any staking deal, clear rules must be set and whether you wish to read more on the concept of this MTT team and/or express your desire to join it, you can do so in this week's hottest thread.
Poker Blog of the Week
Our blog radar has caught a new blogger this week, a Danish player called Mathias. You will see him snooping around the forum under his alias mathhnes, but most importantly, he will provide us with regular updates of his, as he calls it, epic adventure.
Judging by the introduction, you can expect a French salad of a blog, with all sorts of updates for various tastes, whether it be NL50-100 SH, MTTs up to $30+$3 buy-in or live tournaments with up to $200 buy-in. Besides poker updates, you can also already check out how his 4-wheel ride looks like. If you haven't checked out the blog yet, don't hesitate to do so now.

It's that time of the week again! Some people count bottles of beer on the wall, some count balloons and we keep our eyes on the newcomers to the PokerStrategy.com community. Many of our latest members seem to have gained some poker experience prior to joining us and they all seem eager to learn even more and improve their game further. Here are some of our new members:

Performances of the Week
We can call this a bankroll building week, as many of our members have managed to build up their bankrolls to that first big number - $1,000. Besides bankroll building, we've also seen several big tournament wins from our members. Here are some of the most notable performances from the PokerStrategists this week:
- nitaidean worked his bankroll up to $1,000 on PokerStars and FTP, needing only one month to do so on the latter site.
- muireann19 went from zero to $1,000 bankroll in less than four months.
- caroline29632 won a $10,000 GTD tournament on FTP for $3,786.72.
- won an APPT Cebu Satellite on PokerStars for $5,000.
One Million in a Year - Total Winnings (Week 9): $110,921.89
We added over $10,000 this week to our winnings. Even though we seem to be trailing behind our last season's progress, the Challenge is still in its early stages, so keep on posting your results and we may very well pass the $1 million mark this time.
