One last check in with our Bankroll Challenge Hero before he heads back home from the WSOP Paradise festival in the Bahamas.

How has the bust treated you, more family time or straight back to the action?

mantelo: I will treat this tournament as motivation for future festivals, so not much disappointment here. It would have been nice to cash in and give something to the community, but in reality, it was a long shot anyway.

What events have you got your eye on in 2024 to use this motivation for?

mantelo: For 2024 events, I will definitely keep an eye on GGpoker schedule. Not sure if they have a lot of events in Europe, but I really hope I can win one in Asia as I have never been to this continent yet. Kind of a thing from the bucket list for me.

Are you looking forward to the online grind again?

mantelo: Once we come back home, it will be almost Christmas time, so no hard grinding at that time. But it is a good thing as I want to be fresh for the online grind from the first days of 2024.

How tough was the Main Event?

mantelo: As for this Main Event, the field was the toughest I have ever played. But it was expected as it was also the highest buy-in event for me so far. You sit at the table and see six players with over a million in winnings - not something you get in my usual stakes. Still, it is a fantastic experience, and I hope it can kick up my performance as well.
