#VPPchallenge #RonSwanson #DoItAgain? #NL2LAG

In the Community Weekly Round-Up we bring you the best threads of the week from our busy forums.

Would you do it again?

Do it again?

Great poll and discussion this week from MasochisticDesire, who asks if you had to start from scratch with no poker knowledge in today's climate, would you take up poker again?

At the time of writing 55% of you would, with 10% being unsure and the rest saying no.

I'm one of those lucky ones who got into poker when it was 'easy'. It's a funny situation because I am probably a better player now than I ever was, but I used to be quite a decent winner online and today I'd be lucky if I was break even.

That, however, is probably more because I stopped putting the hours in away from the table, rather than because the game has overtaken me. It's a great topic, why not join in?

Challenge of the week

VPP Challenge

This is a great one to rail, there are ups and downs, twists and turns, and a very lofty challenge.

Iambensson wants to go for SuperNova Elite in 2015, so as a primer for that he is attempting to earn 100,000 VPPs in 15 days in December. He is a regular at NL500 Zoom, and so far his blog has been really interesting as he gears up for it.

Lots of big winning and losing days, lots of hands posted, lots of graphs, it really is one to bookmark for next month.

Learning to win

LAG

Is a TAG style the best way to play the microstakes? Not according to new member MaNiaC86.

He has been playing a 40% VPIP style at NL2 and doing very well from it, he shares some advice in a thread he set up on the topic. Lots of great stuff to consume, but my favourite advice, because it helped me a lot when someone explained it to me years ago, was:

"Always have a plan about your next move in the pot"

Check out the thread, it's starting to get good.

GIF of the week

Thankfully the GIF thread is back up and running, but it needs your help. I picked this one as my winner this week, simply because my family have always enjoyed remote control planes and I know all too well how inevitable this is:

Funny GIF

LOL of the week

Once in a while I used this section for non-poker funnies, and having just binge watched all of Parks & Recreation in a month, a tribute to my favourite character:

Join us next week where among other things we will have the live stream from the Unibet Open in London.
