We start with WPT Global for what should be obvious reasons.

The World Poker Tour has become the biggest tour in live poker in the last few years and it stands to reason that their partner online room is the best place for their satellites.

If you want to qualify for a World Poker Tour event in 2024, you need a WPT Global account.

Satellites tend to start as low as $5 and often WPT packages are included in other promotions like rake chases and MTT leaderboards.

In 2024 GGPoker is the biggest room in online poker and they have an array of satellites.

GGPoker is a great place to qualify for events in Asia like the APT. They also host qualifiers for smaller regional events, such as the European Deepstacks in Dublin.

Where GGPoker really stand out, however, is they are the only place to qualify for the World Series of Poker. In 2023 they sent almost 1,000 players to the Main Event and even more to WSOP Paradise. Expect even more in 2024.

If you win a second seat in a GGPoker satellite, you will be credited T$ minus the rake of the target event.

The other giant operator in online poker is PokerStars, who are one of the most trusted names in the game.

PokerStars are the home of the European Poker Tour as well as regional tours like NAPT, Eureka and UKIPT.

As such they have lots of satellites to these events and, in 2024, they announced you could win multiple packages to the same event and would have flexible options with the additional packages.

PokerStars is also the home of PowerPath, a new form of flexible live satellite. You can win a package which can be used live or online, and the fields are soft because you have to win at least two stages (an $11 and a $109 stage) which puts off tough regulars.

Unibet

Unibet is a smaller, softer, European-facing site but on the negative side, they have much lower traffic than GGPoker or PokerStars.

If you want to qualify for lower stakes live events, Unibet has carved out a niche by partnering with affordable events like The Festival Series, The Deep Stack Open and the International Poker Open. You really can be playing in a €500 main event for €10 at Unibet.

Unibet also uses a flexible token system. This means, for example, if you win a €100 ticket in a €10 satellite, you can use that ticket in any €100 Unibet MTT.

Be warned though, the tickets expire quite quickly, so don't hoard them.
