Top 250 June: Unexpected Results
June was a month full of action but it eventually came to an end. What made it even more spectacular was the last week, as the results were definitely unexpected.
The final week of our Top 250 and Top Ten Jackpot promotions has come to an end, after some of the most interesting turnarounds we've seen so far. The difference between week 3 and week 4 results is stunning, but we will let you see for yourself.
Last week we saw cakara continuing his three-week long domination, having more 9,000 StrategyPoints ahead of his runner-up at the time, terrorblade.
However, this week was more than interesting, as the rankings were changed radically: cakara finished the month with 28,955 StrategyPoints - amazingly enough, that wasn't enough for him to grab the first place, so he had to settle for the runner-up position. Overall, he finished 66th, but earned $400 for his second place in the English rankings.
This month's winner is none other than opal99, who went up from 5th place and 11,373 points to first place and an incredible 36,588 StrategyPoints - he more than tripled his score in just a week. Overall, he ended the month ranked 37th, thus winning the additional $500 in cash for his accomplishment. Congratulations!
Ranked third is opal99's countryman, thelastnail, who was 10th at the end of week 3. Apparently that did not stop him from fighting his way up the leaderboard. He also finished in the top 100 overall - 76th to be precise.

This means that opal99 managed to win our rankings three times in a row, after dominating the April Race as well as the May Race. Congratulations to opal99 for his accomplishment and best of luck in the upcoming month!
Looking at the overall leaderboard for this month, we notice that
caber has managed to keep his number 1 spot with
117,146 StrategyPoints, thus earning the big prize of $10,000 -
congratulations!
nexby pushed hard in the last week and ended up as the second best, having 73,139 StrategyPoints. For his accomplishment, he receives a prize of $6,000.
In third place we have the Diamond member kirillkk representing the Dutch community, who accumulated a total of 66,526 StrategyPoints this month. He is now $4,000 richer thanks to his accomplishment.

Thanks to his first place finish in June, caber added another gold medal to his collection, thus becoming the second best player in our rankings so far in 2009. He is still behind f3rt, who has a total of five different medals.

As we reported in this news, the Top 10 Jackpot promotion is back. Between the 1st and the 31st of July 2009, our English community
members will have the opportunity to show their skills and be rewarded
with up to $500. The ten PokerStrategists who accumulate the most
StrategyPoints by the end of that period will get their share of the
$1,750 prize pool.

In this year as well, we will distribute at least $1,200,000 in bonuses within the TOP250 promotion
alone. The top finisher of
