Another record breaking cash pot at GGPoker

You wait 12 years for the biggest No Limit cash game pot record to break, and then two come around in the same week.

It appears that we are back to the days of railing huge cash games online as the another nosebleed record pot went down this week. 

High Roller Ali Imsirovic took down this monster against Tan Xuan at a $500/$1,000 table with a $2,000 straddle. 

That is a $974,631 pot, breaking the record set just last week of $842,438 at the same tables. This is the record for No Limit Hold'em pots, the biggest cash game pot in poker history remains a 2009 PLO pot worth $1,356,947 between Viktor Blom and Patrik Antonius. 

This is still a remarkable milestone and Imsirovic made a subtle gag about it on Twitter.

Watch this space. A few months ago the prospect of the 'Rail Heaven' days being replicated seemed highly unlikely but these are not normal times and while the online WSOP is taking place there is a lot of liquidity on GGPoker. You would not want to bet against a seven-figure pot taking place on the site in the next week or two.
