Overlays in the WCOOP Main Events

All but one of the rescheduled WCOOP Main Events had sizeable overlays this week.

All eyes were on PokerStars this week and whether they could avoid a repeat of the disastrous WCOOP Main Event weekend which had to be cancelled following a DDoS attack. The rescheduled WCOOP Take 2 Main Events all boasted bigger guarantees as compensation this week. 

Some of which led to significant overlays. The $109 WCOOP Low Main Event had a $3 million guarantee and attracted 27,914. That meant an overlay of $121,700, the biggest benefactor of which was 'gimley14' of Bulgaria who won it for $277,042 after a deal.

The $1,050 Medium Main Event had an even bigger overlay. That guaranteed $5 million but only had 4,646 entries, meaning an overlay of $1,164,326! 'Twicyy' of the UK emerged the champion in that one, bagging $603,142 after a three-way chop. 

Once again proving the high stakes economy is thriving, the only WCOOP Main Event not to feature an overlat was the $10,300 High Main Event. That had a $7 million guarantee and 760 entries in total comfortably covered that. Portugal player Luis Faria took that one down, with no deal, for $1,293,825 . 

All three of the PLO Main Events overlaid too by a combined $146,500.
