PokerStars bring back the NAPT after 12 years!

The North American Poker Tour returns to Las Vegas after the longest hiatus this year, alongside a festival of motorsport.

You'd be forgiven for not knowing what the North American Poker Tour (NAPT) was even if you have been around the game for a long time. It was the US version of local tours like UKIPT and Estrellas from PokerStars. 

Sadly it didn't last long because it launched shortly before Black Friday and PokerStars had to exit the US market. Now, over 12 years later, it is back, much in the way that those aforementioned local tours have also returned. 

This week the first stop was announced, where else but Las Vegas?

The NAPT returns to Resorts World Las Vegas on November 4. It features a $1,650 Main Event with six starting flights. There is also a $5,300 High Roller from November 10 and a $550 PokerStars Cup from November 9. 

If you a motorsport fan, it takes place at the same time as the Las Vegas Grand Prix, where PokerStars-sponsored Oracle Red Bull Racing will be vying for the title. 

Online satellites are expected to be announced soon, but no word yet on whether they will be for players in the main PokerStars player pool, or just the segregated US player pools.
