Despite all the hiccups leading up to the series and stories of long lines to register for events, the WSOP appears to be thriving.
The $500 Reunion event, which had a lofty $5 million guarantee (set before the vaccine requirements were made for the series), attracted a huge field.
12,973 entries in total, of which 7,079 were unique entrants, meant that the guarantee was easily smashed over three starting days.

The eventual winner was Long Ma who took it down for $513,604, which was certainly one of the best ROIs you will ever see in a bracelet event outside of the Main Event.
Seven live bracelets have been awarded at the time of writing and although the higher stakes events might be getting lower fields than usual (78 for the HORSE Championship, 139 for the $25,000 High Roller and the $25,000 heads-up event didn't reach the 64-player cap) it looks like the more affordable No Limit events might surprise us. There is a $600 Deepstack bracelet event that has reached the final table which attracted 4,527 runners, for example.
