Leon Tsoukernik sells Kings Casino

Big news for European poker players as the home of the WSOPE is changing hands.

Kings Casino in Rozvadov is the largest poker venue in Europe and home of the World Series of Poker Europe. It has been reported by Hochgepokert that it has been sold. 

Leon Tsoukernik has reportedly sold his stake in this venue, Kings Casino Prague, Kings Hotel Resort and Admiral Casino. The sale has been made to Scott Hanna, who will assume control of the business and a second unnamed party. 

It is estimated that the total sale will be worth between €300 million and €400 million. 

Tsoukernik moving on

Tsoukernik is said to be going on to new pastures outside of poker. He completed his two goals to host the WSOPE, which is now a regular fixture in Rozvadov and set to take place in September this year, as well as an EPT, which took place at his venue in Prague. 

Tsoukernik is also a prolific high roller himself, most notably winning the €100,000 Short Deck High Roller at the 2019 WSOPE for €1,102,000, defeating Phil Ivey heads-up. 

The future of Kings Casino is big news for poker players in Germany, Austria and Poland as well as the Czech Republic, all of whom regularly travel to the venue on the Czech border.
