A huge record broken at EPT Prague

While it seems like most of the poker world is in Vegas or the Bahamas, European poker players have come out in force at EPT Prague.

When you consider the marketing budget that has been devoted to both WSOP Paradise and the WPT World Championship, you would be forgiven for forgetting that EPT Prague is taking place right now. 

Just like last year, the festival has gone on to surprise everyone and has broken a huge attendance record, once again. 

The €1,100 Eureka Main Event has attracted 4,732 entries in total, which is a new record for the event (the previous record was 4,403 last year). 

At the time of writing 12 players remain and the first prize is a whopping €517,730.

This once again shows the strength of live poker currently. Two of the biggest tournaments in history are happening right now in the Bahamas and Vegas, but the European market is so strong that we are seeing records broken in Prague. 

The smart money would also be on a landmark EPT Prague Main Event, which will be bittersweet as it appears it may be the last one.
