Chase Bricker wins WPT $5 Million freeroll
One player is now a millionaire from zero investment in Vegas, plus LemOn36 was on the side-lines to document the action.
Perhaps the most curious event in recent years was the World Poker Tour $5 million freeroll with mystery bounties and free championship seats.
2,000 tickets were awarded, only 1,457 players registered for the actual event, meaning one in three players made the money.
Our very own Lemon36 caught up with the World Poker Tour's Matt Savage during the event to find out how it came about and how it went down from a Tournament Director's perspective.

The eventual champion was Chase Bricker who not only won the $1 million first prize but also captured an additional $110,000 in bounties. Daniya Gheba came 3rd but won more than 2nd place prize by virtue of winning one of the biggest final table bounties.
Spare a thought also Jason Christopher who came third. Somebody was going to pull a 'zero' bounty at the final table, but this was a cruel way for it to go down:

The big question now is will this event return in 2025 and will it be open to players outside of the USA?
