Barry Carter & Dara O'Kearney both win two Global Poker Awards

X Personality and Book of the Year, which he shares with Dara O'Kearney who also won Best Podcast for the third time.

The 6th Annual Global Poker Awards took place over the weekend in Las Vegas to celebrate the stars of the industry.

Sadly our very own LemOn36 was unable to overcome Abby Merk in the Rising Star in Content Creation trophy. Still an incredibly well-deserved nomination.

PokerStrategy Editor Barry Carter and strategy contributor Dara O'Kearney did manage to bag two awards each, however.

Barry won the Best X Personality award for the Twitter memes that make us question how much work he actually does here. O'Kearney won the Best Poker Podcast award (along with David Lappin) for the third time for The Chip Race. Both men share the award for Best Poker Book for Beyond GTO: Poker Exploits Simplified.

Lots of big names took down awards this year including Benjamin and Marle Spragg both picking up their second awards, while Adrian Mateos, Jeremy Ausmus, Barny Boatman, David Coleman, Cherish Andrews and Jesse Lonis all picking up the major player awards.
