In the High Stakes Corner we bring you more good fortune for Ilari Sahamies, and more bad fortune for Phil Ivey.
Ilari 'Ziigmund' Sahamies continues his amazing return to form in 2015 which has seen him top the nosebleed rankings.
His friend Jens Kyllönen posted a graph on 2+2 this month which has shown Ilari's winnings reach $1.5 million in the last three months.
According to HighStakesDB, Sahamies is up just over $900,000 on PokerStars, with no recent tracking on Full Tilt. This graph suggests things are going even better for the Finnish superstar in 2015.
Ivey case moves forward
In stark contrast, 2015's biggest loser so far Phil Ivey has had the motion to dismiss the Borgata's $9.6 million legal case against him denied.
According to the Press of Atlantic City, Ivey's lawyers tried to argue that their client "saw precisely what any one of the pit supervisors or employees apparently should have seen over the course of more than 100 hours of play."
Judge Noel Hillman did not see it the same way, and the lawsuit can proceed against Ivey this year.
There was also a bad omen in the news last week for Ivey. In another Atlantic City casino, the Golden Nugget, 14 gamblers won $1.5 million between themselves when an automatic shuffler was revealed to be broken. Despite being three years ago and no fault of their own, a Judge ruled this week that they have to pay it back.
March winners and losers
Elsewhere Ivey is currently only the second biggest loser of the month, with Phil Galfond being the current whipping boy of the nosebleeds. The biggest benefactor in March is still 'bbvisbadforme' who is up almost $800k this month.
