A quick lookout on Event 20 (PLHE 1500$)

Another bad day at Amazon Room for Team PokerStrategy.com's Nazgul, who had a bad run at the Pot Limit Hold'Em Event #20. At the end of Day 1, the bubble even burst at this tournament filled by a lot of poker big names.

WSOP Event 20Las Vegas and the World Series surely don't feel like a good place to be for the members of Team PokerStrategy.com.

The Pot Limit Hold'Em event who started this Tuesday only welcomed nazgul in its large field of 633 players, but our german champion did not have time to develop his best poker fully, as he busted during the first hour.

With Q-8, he sees a quite perfect flop A-8-8 versus an opponent who he reraises all-in. The other guy only has 7-8, which nazgul beats easily... until the turn comes (a 7...). nazgul was pretty angry with all these "one-outers" situations he has to endure in the WSOP tournaments, and that prevents him from playing the events normally.

the bubble is burst

NazgulIn fact, the structure was so quick at this event that only 10% of the field made it to Day 2, and so the money got reached by the end of first day, which is quite rare for a WSOP tournament.

Most of the field consisted of No Limit Hold'em players, and it was quite strange, sometimes, to see some of the players learning in real time the "pot limit" rules at the table...

At the end of the day, Jason Dewitt is the chip leader with almost 185,000 chips, closely followed by other big names like Joe Sebok (Barry Greenstein's son), Roland de Wolfe (in a new baldhead outfit, making him appear a lot more agressive than in the past), Mark Seif (who bursted the bubble by eliminating  Mike Sexton).

This Wednesday, our team experts will be back for 1,500$ No Limit Shootout, a pretty nice tournament of 1,000 players maximum, where the goal for getting a bracelet is to dominate three times your table ! To be continued...

Below you can find the top 10 chip stacks at the end of the day:
