Ali Imsirovic admits to cheating
A year after allegations that rocked the poker world, Imsirovic has admitted to multi-accounting but denied all other forms of cheating.
Last year Alex Foxen publically accused Ali Imsirovic of cheating, setting in motion a series of allegations against him, as well as Jake Schindler and Bryn Kenney, rocking the poker world.
Last night, sitting in front of his many poker trophies, Imsirovic took to YouTube to finally address the accusations.
He admitted to multi-accounting online in 2020 and again last year. The first instances of this he claimed were in response to the fact that he felt other players were colluding in the high stakes MTTs at GGPoker, so he did it as a defence against that. The second period he says he did it was in retaliation to the many cheating accusations that came his way, essentially saying that if he was being falsely labelled a cheat, he may as well cheat.
He revealed what most suspected, that he was one of the 40 accounts banned by GGPoker for using real time assistance. Many of those accounts have been reinstated as they were merely using preflop charts, which are allowed on some sites, but Imsirovic revealed he discovered he was banned for both RTA and multi-accounting.
Denies RTA, rubbernecking and ghosting
He completely dismissed the other cheating accusations leveled at him. He denied he ever tried to look at his opponent's cards playing live, that he used RTA while playing or that he ghosted/used RTA with horses. He also said that while he was friends with fellow accused cheater Jake Schindler, he has never cheated with him.
In closing Imsirovic said that the last year has had a heavy toll on his family, and that in that respect he felt he had 'paid his dues' for the multi-accounting. The video ended with him hinting that some of the main parties who have accused him of cheating had also been banned by poker rooms for RTA and multi-accounting.
As you can imagine, the poker world has not exactly embraced Imsirovic back with open arms following this video. Last year the cheating allegations against him rocked the poker world as he was considered one of the game's brightest stars. This is unlikely to be the end of this story.
