Aliaksandr Shylko wins the PSPC

A three-way chop in the 2nd PokerStars Players No Limit Hold'em Championship at a final table that created six millionaires.

The eagerly awaited return of the PSPC did not disappoint as the 2nd outing of the $25,000 High Roller captured the poker world's imagination, once again. 

1,014 players, including over 400 Platinum Pass winners, made the trip to the Bahamas for the 'Golden Ticket' event. The big surprise was that this was a tiny bit smaller than the 2019 event, which had 1,049 runners. 

Aliaksandr Shylko of Belarus emerged the eventual champion. The 26-year-old defeated Max Menzel of Germany heads-up for the title in a cooler of a hand:

The original first prize was over $4 million but a final three chop saw him take home $3,121,838, with Menzel and Philipe Pizzari securing over $2.5 million each. 

Menzel and sixth-place finisher Niclas Thumm were the two remaining Platinum Pass winners at the final table, both of them secured their tickets to this event in freerolls.  

“It was an amazing experience,” Shylko said. “I had a lot of fun, I met a lot of good people, and winning such a big tournament, it’s amazing.”

Next up for PokerStars is the first-ever EPT Paris which gets underway on February 15.
