Ari Engel wins 20th WSOP-C ring
Maurice Hawkins cannot rest as Ari Engel is now just one ring behind him, after a 20th victory in the WSOP Circuit.
The WSOP-C race continues to be the most competitive race in poker, and Ari Engel is not going down without a fight.
Shortly after Maurice Hawkins took the lead, then went two ahead, with 21 rings last month, Ari Engel captured his 20th in the $1,100 Horsehoe Council Bluffs event in Iowa.
He took home $22,372 for his 20th career ring, which also guarantees him a seat in the WSOP Paradise Circuit Champion Mystery Bounty event at the end of the year.
Engel has carved out an unusual career chasing WSOP-C rings, travelling all over the world, he has won circuit rings in many different places and crucially in almost every format. He has won rings live and online, full ring, heads-up, six-max, NLHE, PLHE, HORSE, Omaha Hi/Lo, PLO and Mystery Bounty.
In addition to being the 2nd in the WSOP-C race, he also recently broke the record for most live recorded cashes.
