Affleck's $1m demands
Ever wondered how much it costs to have Hollywood A-listers hosting big poker events? PokerStars found out when they invited Ben Affleck to host a poker cruise back in 2003.
The star told PokerStars Marketing Executive Dan Goldman that he'd "love to do it" and that he could "fit it into his schedule", but that he wanted a $1m appearance fee and a helicopter to drop him onto the cruise ship mid-voyage!
Amazingly, former PokerStars CEO Isai Scheinberg agreed to Affleck's demands "without missing more than a heartbeat", but the deal eventually collapsed because Goldman needed a permit from Homeland Security to land the helicopter, and couldn't push it through on time.
Bilzerian vs. Mini Me
Love him or hate him, Dan Bilzerian's high roller lifestyle has made him something of an icon in the gambling world, and that status has earned him a sponsorship with online casino BGO.com.
In BGO's latest advert, Bilzerian - accompanied by a gorilla in a tuxedo - takes on the boss Verne Troyer ('Mini Me' from Austin Powers) in a high stakes game of blackjack, check it out below:

Unibet to sponsor British Poker Awards
Fast-growing online poker room Unibet are set to join a list of backers that includes PokerStrategy.com, Bluff Europe, Poker News and Calvin Ayre as sponsors of the 2014 British Poker Awards.
