Chino Rheem Leads WPT Merit Cyprus Classic Day 1B
Former WPT champion Chino Rheem leads a stacked field after the second starting day of the first event of the new World Poker Tour season.
Both starting days are in the books as the WPT Merit Cyprus Classic has reached Day 2. The $1 million guarantee has been smashed today, with lots of big names still left in the hunt.

164 players on Day 1B: 164 entered and 65 remain after the second starting day of the Main Event. This has created an overall field of 329, with 132 players coming back for Day 2.
This also means the prize pool has reached $1,212,694, with 36 players making the money. The top prize is $287,784.
Chino Rheem leads stacked Day 1B: The leader after Day 1B is former WPT champion Chino Rheem, who returns today with 291,500.
Lots of other big names survived Day 1B including Robert and Michael Mizrachi, Giuseppe lechiffre19 Pantaleo, Dominik aceontheriver Nitsche, Martin 0piggybank Finger and Gaelle Baumann.
Busting out: Not all the Mizrachi brothers made Day 2, as Eric Mizrachi hit the rail last night. So did Tommy Vedes, Daniel 
Jungleman12 Cates and Chris Moorman.

WPT Paris and Malta qualifiers now running
Two more major European legs of the World Poker Tour are now open to qualification on PartyPoker and WPT Poker.
You can win a $6,500 package to WPT Malta that includes $4,200 entry, five star accommodation, and $850 spending money.
On Sundays at 14:50 ET you can win your package in a direct $350 qualifier, with feeder satellites running around the clock starting at freerolls.
Or you can win a $13,000 package to the legendary WPT Grand Prix de Paris, which includes accommodation, $1,400 spending money, and the $9,500 buy-in.
$700 direct qualifiers take place on Sundays at 15:20 ET, with feeders running 24/7.
