Jones becomes voice of PokerStars

Lee Jones' voice is one that's respected throughout the poker community and one of the reasons why he's been appointed as PokerStars' new Head of Communications.

The newly-created role will see Lee disseminate information to both internal and external audiences; helping to maintain the company's reputation as an open and honest site.

Lee first joined PokerStars in 2003 as Poker Room Manager, before moving on to head the site's Home Game and Facebook packages.

Commenting on Jones' new position, Eric Hollreiser said: "Lee has been a long-time poker evangelist" and will be "using his knowledge and experience to engage audiences in forums, media, events, blogs and internally".

The International Stadiums Poker Tour has suffered another setback in its mission to offer the largest poker event ever.

Over the past few months the beleaguered tournament has suffered a number of knocks - including switching from a live to online Day 1 - but the latest blow could prove the most costly.

Having made the decision to offer international satellites on various poker sites, the organisers have been forced to postpone them due to lack of interest.

It seems that despite offering modest entry fees of between €2.20 and €11, the initial satellites have failed to reach their minimum quotas.

While the ISPT's official Twitter account has cited technical issues for the postponement of one satellite, the signs are that the event may struggle to reach the numbers first expected.

Matt Salsberg has made back-to-back WPT final tables after surviving the penultimate day at the Lucky Hearts Poker Open.

The American poker player and TV producer won his first WPT in Paris back in September, 2012, and if he can take down tomorrow's finale he’ll send his WPT earnings over the $1 million mark.

However, if Matt wants to finish five places better than in last week's Borgata Open, he'll need to dethrone another Matt at the top of the chip counts.

2011 WSOP final-tablist Matt Giannetti currently heads the chip counts with 3,005,000 and will start the final table just ahead of Darryll Fish who holds 2,660,000.

PokerTracker 4 Interview

PokerTracker 4 is one of the most sophisticated pieces of poker software on the market and, after representatives visited PokerStrategy HQ, we managed to get the inside scoop on its top features.

In Gibraltar to demonstrate the product's new features, Steven McLoughlin told us that the current demand and reaction to the software has far exceeded their expectations.

In amongst the comparisons to PokerTracker 3, McLoughlin hinted at an automated tagging feature which is expected to be released later in the year.
