PokerStars' golden games

Yesterday saw the start of PokerStars' Golden Sit & Go promotion and on the first day of action more than $80,000 was awarded.
Part of the site's 100 Billionth Hand celebrations, the bonus games will be sharing out $1,000,000 in
prizes until June 23.
Operating across every Sit & Go tournament on the site, players only find out if they're in a golden game once registration has closed.
In total there are three different bonus games on offer:
Double prizepool and two buy-ins per player.
Quadruple prizepool and four buy-ins per player.
Ten times prizepool and ten buy-ins per player.
For example, if you registered for a 9-man $30 hyper turbo Sit & Go and it was a "ten times golden game", you would receive $300 and be playing for an enhanced top prize of $1,294.

Following last week's screening of Bet Raise Fold, Jay Rosenkrantz and Ryan Firpo have taken some time out to share their thoughts on the event.
Talking in a recent video, the producers described the moment the film was shown as a surreal experience, with Ryan noting that "it was pretty intense watching it on a 30 ft. screen."
A positive reaction after the screening was just reward for the creators' hard work and Jay said that his proudest moment was when viewers told him that they had gotten "the story right".
In addition to talking about the recent showing of Bet Raise Fold, the video outlines various pieces of bonus content the duo are putting together for people who help take their Kickstarter fund to $50,000.
Bet Raise Fold will be released on June 30 and will initially be available for download through betraisefold.com.

Another night of action in the PokerStrategy.com Open Series saw the Czech Republic claim their first gold medal and move up to 11th in the national rankings.
Despite being one of the more specialised poker tournaments on the festival's roster, 145 plucky players sat down for yesterday's PLO8 battle.
By the time a final table had formed, a number of nations, including Hungary, India and Belarus, were in the running for a medal. However, in the end it was Switzerland's 22tabo22 who bagged the bronze.
With 22tabo22 watching from the rail, only Finland's "ar6timchap" could prevent pigment from winning the tournament.
However, after a back-and-forth battle, the Czech grinder eventually clinched the gold medal and $62, leaving "ar6timchap" to settle for silver and $44.

High stakes corner

An impressive performance from "Trueteller" over the course of 1,497 hands put the online grinder top of yesterday's leaderboard ahead of "samrostan".
While the latter banked $356,366, the former topped the rankings with a total profit of $384,238.
At the other end of the spectrum, Norway's "no_Ola" slumped to a $233,308 loss and finished the day ahead of "kipu" (-$221,838) and "MALTARDS" (-$189,495).
