Bracelet fever is back in Melbourne as the WSOP APAC got underway yesterday. 197 players attended Day 1A of the $1,100 Accumulator to kick things off.

Brits can auto-topup
The UK Gambling Commission has confirmed that automatic rebuys and topups are not prohibited for British poker players.
This ends a lot of speculation that British players would be at a disadvantage in November when new legislation comes in.

Ivey arrives in court
Hot off the revelation that Phil Ivey would break his silence on the Borgata edge-sorting debate, the man himself arrived at court yesterday.

Dan Shak banned from trading
Trader and poker player Dan Shak is now officially a poker pro, with the news that he has been banned from trading.
Shak is accused of trading in gold contracts he was serving a two-year ban for, and now the Commodity Futures Trading Commission want to ban him for life.
His lawyer David Kovel commented to Bloomberg that:
“It was a minor, minor, minor infraction. Yet they are treating him like a criminal.”
Grant Hinkle goes viral
It wasn't the greatest moment for WSOP bracelet winner and online star Grant Hinkle, as this video emerged of him over celebrating at an American Football game.
Though Hinkle didn't mind the negative press too much, commenting:
"[The] Ultimate goal is to have fun and make memories. I think the people that default to “d-bag” move are probably leaving a lot on the table when it comes to life. Enjoy it!"
