EPT Bahamas: Benny Third, Nazari Wins

In the end, it wasn't enough for the win, but with a third place and the $1,100,000 prize money, the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure was a huge success for our Community member.

That he was still not really happy about the result, however, was mainly due to his impressive dominance at the final table for quite some time. The highlight, from Benny's point of view, was certainly his quad jacks against PokerStars Pro Alexandre Gomes. The latter one held A-A, and already had the full house on the flop of J-J-J. On the turn, the all-in took place between the two, and Gomes was visibly surprised when Benny showed K-J for the quads.

However, psychobenny already had a great run before. First, he eliminated Dustin Dirksen with pocket tens, and a bit later the Dutchman Pieter Tielen with eights. After the quads, Benny was a clear chip leader with over 18 million in chips.

With only three left at the table, the competitors slowed down the pace considerably, but Benny's luck had obviously run dry. The German had to give up more and more chips, and Poorya Nazari had taken over the lead when an all-in took place between Benny and the American Antony Gregg. With A-K, our Community member faced A-8 and was actually a clear favourite, but the board foiled him and gave Gregg the full house.

Only a few hands later, it was all over for the citizen of Darmstadt. Already rather short-stacked, psychobenny pushed his remaining chips all-in with Q-J. The Canadian Poorya Nazari called
with A-J, and this time it was Benny who needed help from the board. However, it came with K-3-4-T-K, and a visibly disappointed Benny Spindler remained "only" with a third place and over one million Dollars after all.

Nazari then quickly decided the heads-up, sealing the deal in the fourth hand with A-T. Gregg held Q-7, the board had no influence, and the Canadian's bankroll increased by an impressive $3,000,000.
Antony Gregg received $1,700,000 for his second rank.
