EPT London - Day 1A

Yesterday the second event of the fourth European Poker Tour Season in London started. Florian "Morgoth" Langmann started today.

178 players registered for day 1a; and almost 200 players were expected for day 1b.  The buy-in in London is £5.400.

Florian "Morgoth" Langmann, the current German champion started for PokerStrategy today, on day 1b. There are of course other international stars present such as on Tuesday when Chris Moneymaker, Dave 'Devilfish' Ulliott, Nikolaus Jedlicka, Johnny Lodden, Luca Pagano, Dario Minieri, Brandon Schaefer, Barny Boatman, Andreas Hoivold and of course the winner from last year Vicky Coren were attending.

We will provide you with the daily chip counts from London, interesting hands, photos, and hopefully good news about Morgoth.

Update:
Early in the game the ladies Vicky Coren and Katja Thater had to say good bye. During the course of the day, the two Italians Dario Minieri and Luca Pagano also had to say good bye.

Dave 'Devilfish' Ulliott also had to leave the tournament 15 minutes before the day was over. Thanks to this incident, the WSOP-winner from 2003 jumped to third place on the chip count after nearly being eliminated numerous times during the day. A total of 60 players survived day 1a, these are the chip leaders:
