FTOPS XIII: $16 Million Guaranteed In 25 Events
The 13th Full Tilt Online Poker Series (FTOPS XIII) will feature 25 events, and a guaranteed prize pool of $16 million. It will run from 5th to 16th of August 2009.
Full Tilt Poker has just announced that the Thirteenth Full Tilt Online Poker Series (FTOPS XIII) will be played from 5th to 16th of August 2009. In the latest instalment of this very popular series of online poker tournaments, $16 million worth of guaranteed prize money will be up for grabs.
FTOPS XIII will kick off with the $1 million guarantee NL Hold'em event and will culminate in the $535 buy-in main event that will feature a guaranteed prize pool of $2.5 million. Pocketownage420, the winner of the main event last year bagged $432,400 for his efforts.Â
A total of 25 events across the 12 days. Besides the two events mentioned above, 4 other events will also feature guaranteed prize pool of over $1 million.
Unlike the last instalment of FTOPS, however, the MiniFTOPS events will not be held in tandem. They will instead only be played from September 9th. The MiniFTOPS are a series of events that feature buy-ins that are about one-tenth of the FTOPS events.
Like the WSOP, FTOPS XIII will also feature a Ante Up For Africa charity tournament ($120 NL Hold'em 6-max on 15th August) , the event will have a prize pool of at least $100,000. $20 of the $120 buy-in to this tournament will be donated to charity.
