High Stakes Round-up: Trickett Interview, One Drop, Biggest Winners Of 2012

Interview with Sam Trickett
One of the most dominant live cash players of the moment, Sam Trickett, sat down with HighStakesDB.com to discuss the nosebleed scene. In it, he confirmed that the biggest pot he has won in Macau was HKD $16m, the biggest losing pot was HKD $20m, his biggest winning session was HKD $15m, and biggest losing session was HKD $13m. He also shared that he bought himself an Audi R8 V10 with his winnings, and shared a story of how he once went broke:
"In 2009. I dusted off a £150k bankroll in the space of a few months, which left me flat broke and unable to play without backing. It was caused from playing in high stakes PLO games when I was still learning the game and I had a bad habit playing roulette and blackjack which is where I lost a lot as well."

Phisherman36 reeling it in
Unknown player Phisherman36 has really made a name for himself in the last week or so. He wasn't even known at high stakes last month, but has totally crushed the PLO tables in both heads-up and six max. He has taken on all comers, including Ilari FIN, Isildur1, and Ben86, and most impressively booked a $360k winning day on Thursday. The Romanian is up $692,543 for the year at the time of writing, and has really got the railbirds talking.
Big names confirm for One Drop
In the last week, several big names have confirmed that they will most likely be playing in the $1 million buy-in One Drop event at the World Series of Poker. Phil Hellmuth exclusively told PokerStrategy.com that he has already sold $550k of himself in the event, while Antonio Esfandiari also told us he plans to play the event. Elsewhere, nosebleed cash star and PokerStrategy.com coach Jens Kyllonen also confirmed his intention to play.

Taking a break
The High Stakes Round-Up will be taking a short hiatus while the World Series of Poker is taking place, as we expect a lot of the nosebleed action online to dry up while most of the players are in the USA. Until we return, we have decided to take a look back on the biggest action of 2012 so far:
Biggest pot of the year so far
There is very little surprise to see Isildur1 involved in the biggest pot of the year, here he is taking down a $355,195 hand against 1Il|1Il|1il| on PokerStars in January.
Biggest winners and losers of the year so far
He may have won the biggest pot of the year, but the swingy nature of being Viktor Blom also means that he is the second biggest loser of the year, just behind Zypherin. Ben Sulsky is the biggest winner of the year so far with just under $2 million, alongside several other big winners, including Phil Galfond and 
JensKyllonen.
