Interview with SpinLegends coach "Adriia18"
We chat to Adria "Adriia18" Diaz Dalmau who will be looking after our SILVER team and sharing his vast Spin & Go wisdom.
How long have you been playing poker and how long did it take you to make your first $1000 in winnings?
Adriia18: Since I was 18 years old I had taken poker seriously and worked to become a professional poker player. It took me about half a year to make my first $1000 in winnings.
Can you tell us a bit about your Spin & Go career?
Adriia18: I started playing in €20 Spins on Pokerstars.es and now I am playing on the highest Spanish Spin & Go level, €50.
Why do you prefer Spin & Go’s over other game types?
Adriia18: They are fast and very attractive for the recreational players. The field is great so it becomes a very profitable game for regulars.
What was your biggest multiplier and best month?
Adriia18: I got a x1000 while I was playing €20s but unfortunately I couldn't win it. My last month playing in €50s I ended up with a 9.20 spin EV.

You are supporting our SpinLegends SILVER team. The purpose of this team is to train players from the lowest levels of Spin & Go’s onwards in order to get a very solid educational basis. Can you give our members a better idea what they can expect here?
Adriia18: They can expect very passionate coaches that are trying to build the necessary basics that are needed to beat the upcoming levels. We are going to teach them how to overcome the problems and how to get the maximum benefit from every hand.
A lot of beginners are struggling with memorising ranges. Do you have any advice here?
Adriia18: Being constant and passionate. There's nothing more effective than practice. I had to memorise ranges all of my poker career and I just tried to play 1-2 tables at a time and trying to follow the ranges in order to memorise them and then with time and dedication I ended up remembering all of them.

What are the typical mistakes of experienced cash game players who try playing Spins?
Adriia18: Mental preparation is very important for players that are not used to high variance and high speed games. There are a lot of swings and that can affect the player's performance if they are not prepared.
If you were not a poker player, what would your career path most likely look like?
Adriia18: Something related with sports. Either playing or working with a sports company.
